I'm not sure what the difference is on the O-ring and the O-ring closure. My current O-ring is a single ring, flat surface. Why would I need an O-ring and O-ring closure?

Hi John, The Closure O-ring (154493) is for the screw-on valves. It prevents water from leaking out of the tank when closed. An o-ring will be round on all sides, if it is not that is an indicator of wear due to being compressed.

I have a black screw in cap with a flat style gasket. I cannot find the gasket in your list for for a 2010- Pentair TR 100 P/N 14210
