Check Valve - SPX1500RA
The metal piece check valve came out of my unit as i turned it upside over to clean. Where does it belong in the filter or motor and how do I put it back. Only piece that came out. Thank you

The spx1500ra is an optional Check Valve that is installed at the intake of the pump, it is held in place by a washer and screw. You may click here to view the owners manual of the Power-Flo LX pump, please view page 10 with the schematic of the pump.

Is it necessary to replace this check valve since it is listed as an optional part? What are the possible negative results if it is not replaced? Thanks.

Hi. You do not have to replace this check valve since it's an optional part. If you have problems with the pump priming you'll have to manually prime the pump.
