Can this valve go on the suction side (the spring pressure might prevent flow) of a pool pump or is it just for the discharge side?

Hello Lee, normally the check valves go onto the discharge side of the pumps and foot valves are the ones that go on the intake. The more check valves in a system, the more friction loss.

Pros: easy to check, easy to clean
Cons: pricey
The greatest thing for my rainwater irrigation system, although i filter the water, still things get by and sometimes stopped my check valve from functioning correctly...with this checkvalve i can look inside without taking the cover off, if there is trash inside i just take the top off and clean it out.
