AeroMist Misting Fan 18"
Features:
Since this fan is outdoor rated, does that mean it can get rain on it & it will not be affected? Does a filter come with it to resolve hard water & particle problems? does it oscillate or do you sell an outdoor that does oscillate? What is the approx temp drop from using this misting fan? How far away from the fan does one have to be to NOT GET WET?
Reply
The fan is outdoor rated. (Probably would not suggest running it if it is getting wet.) Filter can be purchased separately. The fan does not oscillate. If you are using a pump with the fan, you will not get wet. If you are using hose pressure, you will want to make sure the fan is not directed at anything that cannot get wet. It still mists well, but there may be a little moisture.

Is the bracket on the back of the adjustable? Can I remove any of the 4 nozzles if I am getting too much mist coming out of the fan?
Reply
The bracket on the back of the fan adjust 360 degrees. The nozzles can be plugged off using the nozzle plug located here >http://www.inyopools.com/Products/17800029047716.htm

I was wondering if this can be hooked up to a booster pump (Home Depot purchase, probably 120 PSI) without it blowing out the connections or nozzles? And how much area does this cool? Was looking to cool a 300 sq ft patio here in AZ.

Yes, the fan can be hooked up to a pump. it is always good to atomize the water as much as possible for better cooling. In fact, our systems are rated for 1000 psi. I don't know about the 300 sq ft but the fan has 3 speeds and will blow out about 20 ft away. they have great results in AZ.

(5 out of 5 stars) cooling fan

Was worried this fan would not cool off a large enough area here in AZ, but it puts out a large volume of air for such a small fan. One more fan and I'll be able to keep my patio cool w/o a troubling mister system!

Very well built, love the stainless steel misting ring. I'm going to use a booster pump to get the pressure up to 160psi and run the feed line through 10 feet of 1/2 inch copper tubing coiled up in a 5 gallon igloo full of ice water for an ice cold mist. Here in Texas we need all the outdoor cooling we can get

Pros: All pros
Cons: No cons
After doing much research and sifting through many different dealers and manufactorers that sell directly to the customer (AeroMist), I bought this fan from INYO Pools and am well pleased. I mounted it to the ceiling of my porch and coiled the hard plastic hose up and put it in an ice chest with ice water in it....awesome. The water is cooled as it flows through the coil plastic hose. Planning on making it a portable also buy mounting it to a dolly with the same ice chest setting below it. Will take it camping...again awesome. I love it and have used it every day since purchasing it. 12-15 feet away and you stay dry yet cool. :))

(5 out of 5 stars) Great Patio Misting Fan and exceptional company

Pros: Fast Service, Excellent Communication, and the best price for this unit.
Cons: Didn't receive a INYO Pools Swimsuit calendar. If they don't currently have one they should consider it.
When I first ordered this fan I thought it would be a couple of weeks before I received it. Boy was I wrong! It took 4 whole days to get to me. Can you believe that? Not sure if the folks at INYO Pools are intentionally trying to make the other internet companies look bad. Well, they succeeded. The fan it's self is everything I was promised and I have been Incredibly happy with it.

Pros: Everything is good about this fan.
Cons: Can't find anything negative for private use poolside.
Love, love, love this outdoor misting fan. It gets so hot in Houston, you can fry an egg on your pool decking. When June, July and August get here, this fan will be working overtime!
