will this pump replace a 1.5 h.p. Hayward super pump?

Hi Ronald, No this would be slightly undersized compared to a Hayward Super Pump 1.5 HP. The PureLine Prime 1.5 HP PL2602 would be a drop in replacement for your Hayward Super Pump.

I see the question the previous shopper asked - does this mean that this pump is uprated and not full rated? What is the Svc factor of this pump? Looking to replace a UST1152 (a.o.)/P2RA5F-182L(dyna-glas II)... thanks very much!

This pump has a service factor of 1 which matches your current motor, so technically the motor specs are compatible. Please keep in mind that the port arrangements will be different.

We'll expect needed piping changes - thank you! But I don't get the reason you say the motors are "technically same"? 1.0SF on this one is only 1.5THP - mine is 1.65THP(1.1SF) That's technically "different", not the same right? Your colleagues advise not to use weaker THP when replacing uprated motors w/ full (if not equal, to always pick slightly higher THP). So I guess I don't get why that wouldn't apply here? Thanks so much, really appreciate Inyo's help these past months!???? Ellie

Would this pump be to much for a slide a deck jets?

Hi Tj, Could you give us more details on the deck jets? How many deck jets do you have and do you know the brand and model? How far is the pump placed away from the deck jets and slides? There are 4 deck jets or fountains ..the farthest one is 50 ft from the pump. Attached are the pics of eacg deck fountain or jet and the slide ..it is a smith Typhoon slide
Hi Tj, Thanks for the photos those are quite helpful. Yes, this pump would be what we suggest for the set you have in your photos. Unfortunately, we have sold this scratch and dent model, so we would suggest the Non-Scratch and Dent model here - PL1601 PureLine Pure Flow 1.5 HP Pool Pump.

Hi, Unfortunately for the Pureline 1.5 H.P In Ground Pool Pump (Scratch & Dent) - 8-PL1601 there is not an extended warranty option available. The warranty for this pump is 1 year.
