Pure Flow Salt Friendly
As salt pools become more popular we have built a pump specifically designed for the demanding water conditions of saltwater pools. The most common area of failure on pool pumps is caused by leaking from the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. Saltwater and Chlorine can be particularly harsh on these components.

How loud is this pump compared to superflow pump 1HP?
What is the difference between pureline flow versus pureline prime pumps.
We have 2 inches pipes. Does converting to 1.5 inches change flow rate for filtration and for our salt cell?

Hello, They are both single speed pumps, so they will sound the same. If you have 2-inch plumbing, we recommend going with the prime pumps. Changing to 1.5 inches will affect the flow rating.

I ordered the pl160 replacement motor i took off the impeller but can not get the other black plastic picece connected to the motor off

Would this be a good replacement for my P2RA5E-124L with Marathon motor? Pictures of the motor specs attached. I'm looking for a complete replacement that I can hook up to 1.5" pipes, wire to power, and turn on. Thank you
Hello Brian. Yes, the Pureline 1HP model PL1610 is a replacement for your Pentair Dura-Glas P2RA5E-124L. There will be some plumbing adjustments and to assist with the pump connections, I would suggest the 1.5" Threaded Pump Union, qty 2, to make the transition easier. 1.5" Male Threaded Pool Pump Union x 1.5" Slip Union - PL1643

I have an old marathon pump with P2R A5E-124L I think this pump will work. I saw your response to another person that has the same system. His pipes were 1.5. My difference is my pipes are 2”.
Hello Dennis. The Pureline 1.0 HP Pool Pump model PL1610 is a replacement for the Pentair Dura-Glas model P2RA5E-124L. Some plumbing adjustments are required. The 1.5" Threaded Pump Union, qty 2, CMP 1.5" MIP x 2" Slip, will facilitate those changes. CMP 1.5" MIP, 2" Socket Union - 21063-160-000 The Pureline PL1610 is currently out of stock and not available. The Pureline 1.5 HP Pool Pump PL1601 is on sale for less than the PL1610, is in stock, available, and is a compatible replacement for your current pool pump.
