Hi Jim, The Filter Tank O-ring (DEX2400K) will not fit on your Pentair FNS Plus Filter, the Tank Body O-ring (071439) will be the correct o-ring for your model filter.

I have an old Pro Grid 4820 (Pre 2008} with the old style clamp and spring assembly. Probably purchased around 2001. This design was discontinued in 2008. Will this O-ring work?

Hi Jay, unfortunately no this o ring is not compatible with the old generation Hayward Microclear series but is with the new generation Pro Grid series. The part number for the 1st generation(older) Hayward Micro Clear series is part number 4820-02.
