When should I change the sand in my filter?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/27/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

You should change the sand in your filter every 5-7 years. You can generally tell that it is time if your pool water is not as clear as it normally is or when you notice the interval between backwashes is shorter. You can use > this guide to walk you through it.

What filter do you have that is comparable to the Nautilus NS 36 model. Also with hookups being in the same position.

John, The FNSP36 would be the closest replacement: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/03501208000155.htm Please call Pentair to see if the hook ups are identical. You can reach them at 800-831-7133.

 Reply

A  Answered on 5/31/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi JoAnn, If you can go larger on the filter it is always recommended as you put less stress on your motor prolonging its life. The filter can also filter out more debris and gives you more time between cleanings.

Hi, David. The location of the valve is the main difference between the Tagelus and Triton filters. The Trition filters are also has a UV-resistant surface to prevent fading.

Hi, The TA-100D filter can filter up to 60,000 in an 8 hrs time frame. You can use this filter on your pool, you can't oversize a filtration system.

The spider gasket for the multiport valve is dependant on the model of the valve. You can call in and provide that model so we can cross reference that for you or if that model number is not legible then you can always take a few pictures of it to upload@inyopools.com so we can assist.

Have Tagalus100d. No air bleeder valve on the filter. How am i supposed to decompress it when priming the pump?
 Reply

A  Answered on 12/9/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

Hi Eugene, another way to release the water when priming the pump is by placing the multiport valve in the waste position before priming the pump and once it releases water while the prime fills with water to then turn off the pump, place the valve back into the filter position then turn the pump back on.
