Hi Denby, This bulkhead fitting will not work with the Hayward Max-Flo Pump, you can use the Hayward Union (SP14953S).

I have a DE6020 filter with the old 2.5" bulkhead on it and can no longer find any fitting for it to plumb into my existing system. What do you recommend? I was able to get one of 2 bulkheads off but not the other one. Is the internal pvc female inlet 2" or 2.5" threaded? I'm at a loss and so is my local plumbing supply. Thanks.

Hi, Teresa S. You're unable to get that part at a local hardware store. The part you will need can be found using the Hayward Pro Grid Perm-A-Glass DE Filter Parts Diagram page.

The diagram you sent me to suggests the bulkhead is custom fitted for the multi-directional valve assembly. I don't have that. Is there a work around in order to plumb my DE6020 into 2" pipe and unions?

Hi, Teresa S. The DE6020 filter requires the use of a control valve. You can use the Stub End Pipe Adapter Kit - DE2400PAK2CS, however, it will limit the functionality of the filter.
