Our inground pool has a Jacuzzi sand filter (Model #DV Assy 7-Pos 1 1/2NPT)(Order #39263009) which is dated 2000.
I have a very small leak coming from the 7 position handle. No other leaks around the piping, of where the bolts attach to the head and tank.
Do you recommend a complete gasket rebuild kit to fix the leak? Do you carry?
Or do you recommend a complete head ass'y replacement. Do this unit that you carry replace my older Jacuzzi 39-2630-09 head?

I would suggest the complete cover kit here for the Jacuzzi 7 way valve http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352015807.htm as there are so many parts within in the top half of the valve which could be causing your leak. I need to replace my original Jacuzzi 7-way filter valve, would installing the 39262605RKIT require any changes to my existing plumbing. Are the plumbing ports in the same exact positions as the original?

Just purchased a DVK7 complete cover kit, but it came without any instructions for installing. Are there any instructions available?

Hello Carol - The installation of this assembly is not difficult. All you need to do is remove the 6 bolts from the old assembly and lift the top off of the valve. Place the new top assembly on the valve body and tighten the bolts.

I have the Jacuzzi 7port Model 39263009 DV Assembly that fits on a 225L. Currently leaks. What is the correct replacement model. Is it the 39262605rkit ?

Hi Larry, Yes this 39262605rkit would be the correct replacement for your Jacuzzi 39263009 valve. This item is the top half of the valve only but 99% of the time the issue with leaking is in the top half of the valve. By just replacing the top half of the valve you don't have the headache of getting involved with the plumbing.

Hi, This Cover with will fit either the DVK-7 Bolt Sty. Valve (39262803) or the DVK-7 Clamp Sty. Valve (39263020K) which can work on the Jacuzzi Laser Series depending on which style you have.

would this work on Jacuzzi Laser sand filter model 225L? I was looking at getting the 4628-13 key assembly w/gasket because i need new spider gasket,isn't this part included in this complete cover kit? My handle is in bad shape too and figured the labor to install this would be alot less expensive.

Yes, that will work on the Laser. Can you provide the part number from your valve so I can confirm that is the correct cover kit for your valve. If you do not have that information you can attach a picture of the valve so I can identify it for you.

What cover kit would replace jacuzzi laser sand filter 225 that is currently leaking at top. We've removed the cover and the number on dial is 39-2626-05 or 39-2626-06 (last number is not clear.

Last summer I replaced only the part with the spider gasket but i continue to have water leaking at times when i go back to filter after backwashing and rinsing. Do you think getting the entire replacement part address this?

So usually replacing the spider gasket resolves this issue but sometimes having the originally manufacture assembled valve has the best quality, so I would say that if this has been giving you some trouble to replace the entire assembly.

The cover kit I have has the same number without the K at the end. It is 39-2626-05
Is this the same part as indicated on this site that includes the K?

Hi Bill. The filter valve works as follows: 1). FILTER gives a downward flow through the filter bed and gradually restricts the flow of water until backwashing. 2). BACKWASH gives an upward flow through the filter bed that removes the dirt from the sand and carries it to waste. 3). DRAIN is for pumping water from the pool. 4). WHIRLPOOL returns the water to the pool unfiltered. 5). WINTERIZE allows air to leave or enter the tank to help priming and draining. Only to be used when pump is off. 6). RINSE settles the filter bed after backwashing and carries any remaining dirt to waste. 7). TEST prevents backflow of water from pool during pump maintenance if the filter is below water level.
