How do I know if this top collector with air relief manifold part dex2400c needs to be replaced?

Upon filter inspection and or other filter repairs if you find any cracks, even hair line cracks, broken pieces off of the grid ports, and lighter discoloration then we recommend to replace these dex2400c top manifolds.

I need a top manifold for the Haywood de filter grid that has two long rods but all I can find are the manifolds with a single rod going through do you have the manifolds with the double rods?

Hi, Tom. None of the Hayward filter model uses a manifold with two rods. You may have a different manufacturer filter. If you can locate a model no. off of the filter tank or a part number off of the manifold we can use that info to locate the correct manifold.

What is the purpose of the air relief? My manifold does not have one and wondered if there is any advantage in replacing it with one having an air relief.

Ron, The purpose of the air relief is to help purge air out of the filter tank. Not all filter manifolds have one. Please be sure to choose the correct manifold for your filter model.

Hi does this top manifold also come with the bottom support to hold the grids at the bottom and this is for the 24 sq ft system with the 12 inch grids and the one partial correct?

Hello Ronnie. The Top Collector w/ Air Relief for Hayward DE Filters - DEX2400C is the manifold only. The Element Locator, Filter (dex2400h) is available as a separate part. These parts are compatible with the Hayward ProGrid DE Filter, all models. Attached please find the Hayward ProGrid Filter exploded parts diagram for reference.
