DRAIN PLUG TP4004PP ON BACK OF HYDRAMAX 2 HOUSING SNAPPED WHILE I WAS TIGHTENING IT BECAUSE IT LEAKED, THE HEAD SNAPPED OFF, REST OF PLUG IS STILL IN PLACE MUST I DRILL IT OUT? OR CAN I JUST LEAVE IT IN AS LONG AS IT DOESNT LEAK

Hi Bob, As long as it does not leak then you could leave the old broken off plug in.

would the plug you have fit sp15802 x15 will sp1700 series also fit it ?

The preferred drain plug for the Hayward SP1580 series is the 1/4" Drain Plug with Gasket - SPX1700FG
