I have leakage where valve meets valve body. I inspected the O ring and it looked fine. I went to the local pool store and picked up a new O ring anyway; however, when installed I still have leaking. I finally got aggressive and really tightened the screws down to no success. Do you think replacing the entire top assembly value will solve the leaking?

Hi JB, Yes I do believe that by replacing the entire valve assembly that this would stop the leaking unless the leaking is coming from a crack in the filter tank.

My valve is leaking though wastewater when pump is running in filter position. Will this fix problem or do I need whole assembly?

Hello- Assuming this is the correct part for you valve you would have two options. The problem with your valve is a bad spider gasket. On this model you would have the choice of just replacing the Diverter, Valve W/gasket (272512) or replacing the entire Top Assembly, Valve (272531).

My filter head has a part # of 272526, I broke the handle that goes from - filter to backwash, ect, is part # 282531 the correct replacement part?

I have an older 1.5" Pac Fab valve rated 50 psi, 75 gpm, instruction label # 27-1140, 6 mounting holes, going clockwise starting from the top is filter, waste, closed, blanked, recirc and rinse. Bottom stamp says made in canada. The labels with the part number are all worn off. I'm looking for a top assembly and a spider gasket, the current assembly won't lift and displaces the gasket when turning. is this the correct top assembly and what spider gasket do i need? Hi, John P. This is not the correct Valve Top Assembly, You will need the Top Assy., Valve - 271102, along with the Diverter Gasket - 271104 and the Cover O-ring - 271103.

My top valve has 10 bolts in it. I would like to replace the top portion of the valve. Do you stock the correct item?

Hi my top valve was installed in 2012 and has the numbers 27-2512 and 27-2502 211 on it my filter numbers are Serial # 05183131203040 and another number below a bar code is 48504040. Is this top valve compatible with my filter?

Thanks. I appreciate that. Will a bad spider gasket on this top valve assembly cause the water to leak into the backwash sight glass. My pressure has been rising up over 20 psi several times in the past 2 or 3 day. And my pump basket is losing water also.

Will this valve assembly fit a Pentair 26-2506 valve body? I have included a photo of the nameplate on the valve body along with a picture of the overall valve. The difference that I see is the image on the top of the valve showing the valve position. I assume that this is just a cosmetic change.

Hi everyone. So I have researched to find that my spider gasket is apparently bad because I have water going into the backwash. The part number is listed as 272526 Sell 262506, picture attached. The handle has been giving us some problems as well so I'm wondering if I'm better off to replace the spider gasket and everything above it?
