I have a Hayward NorthStar that I am looking to replace. The only one's I see all have a threaded union connection. Do you still carry the one with the Quad lock?

Unfortunately Hayward discontinued the Quad Lock design on the NorthStar pump models in 2007. The housing on the newer pumps is a threaded design and re-plumbing would be necessary.

I am looking to replace the motor on my Hayward northstar pump, sp401 series. Is it possible to just buy the motor?

Hi Lisa, Yes, you can replace just the motor. Look at the label on your current pump for the SF value. If it is 1.60, your replacement motor is an A.O. Smith 1.5 HP Full Rated North Star Replacement Motor - SN1152. If the SF value is 1.25, your replacement motor is an A.O. Smith 1 1/2 HP Up Rated Northstar Replacement Motor - USN1152. Remember to replace the shaft seal.

Hello, Mike. The replacement motor and shaft seal for the SP4010X15NS is the USN1152 - A.O. Smith 1 1/2 HP Up Rated Motor and the SPX4000SA2 Seal Assembly. I have a Northstar Hayward sp4010x15ns for a 40 foot in ground pool with solar heating pool cleaning system with slide and fountain what is a comparable replacement sine this pump is no longer available. This pump was excellent

I have this pool pump which I want to replace. I'm hoping that I can get a identical match up so that it fits in with no piping modification. The old pump I will be replacing the bearings and keeping it as a spare

Hi Dave, Unfortunately the Hayward Northstar Pump was discontinued without a direct replacement. The closest pump would be this Hayward TriStar 1.5 HP UpRated Pump

great pump and motor that was easy to replace. the motor lasted ten years before it started to act up and as a electrician that replaces outdoor motors all the time this unit lasts and is quiet and powerfull.

Was looking to upgrade my pump after 40 years(Had rebuilt the old Hayward a couple times and case was starting to have broken edges). Chose the Northstar series for its newer features. Wanted higher pressure, but learned that would probably blow my lines. Really like this pump.
