Hayward MaxFlo Variable Speed Motor Upgrade Kit
This upgrade kit will convert a Hayward MaxFlo into a 1.65HP variable speed pump. We've packaged the correct sized impeller to ensure maximum efficiency and a heavy-duty shaft seal for ultimate durability. *Requires a Timer or Automation System for the on/off feature, it does not provide full functionality with automation systems.

Does this motor come with a build in timer to automatically change the run time at different speeds or do I need to buy a separate gray box timer sort of thing? I'm looking to replace my Hayward 1607-z-1-MX single speed pump.

Hello Kari. The Hayward MaxFlo VS Upgrade Kit MKIT1VS16 features the Century Motors V-Green 165 Variable Speed Motor. The V-Green 165 Motor is user programmed (pump speed and duration) to operate on a 24-hour cycle. The use of an external timer is not necessary. Attached please find the V-Green 165 User Manual for reference. Please note Section 3, Quick Start Instruction, page 5.

Hello Emiliano. The Hayward MaxFlo VS Motor Upgrade Kit MKIT1VS16 is NOT compatible with the Hayward MaxFlo XL model SP2310X15. The V-Green 1.65 HP Square Flange 48Y Variable Speed Motor - ECM16SQU in conjunction with the Pump Shaft Seal, Seal Plate O-Ring, and Diffuser O-Ring are the parts required to upgrade Hayward MaxFlo XL SP2310X15 to a variable speed pump. An impeller change is not necessary for this conversion. Attached please find the Hayward MaxFlo XL SP2300X Series exploded parts diagram for reference.
