Product Description

Jandy sets the benchmark for valves. For over 30 years Jandy valves have become synonymous with innovation, durability and quality. All Jandy valves pass 18 different quality control checks before leaving the factory.

Our workhorse diverter valve is as tough as the NeverLube, and requires no disassembly for lubrication. It comes with a 1-year warranty and a 20-year track record of proven reliability.

  • Grease cap eliminates need to disassemble valve for lubrication
  • Made from durable CPVC
  • Handle does not extend beyond the valve port – so it can’t interfere with other pool and spa equipment

So why two dimensions? 1.5 - 2. Are you saying I can connect either 1.5 inch or 2 inch, or is this a reduce for 2 inches to 1.5 inches?

A  Answered on 4/9/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

This means that you can actually can use either 1.5 or 2-inch plumbing with this valve. 1.5 inch would be glued to the internal of the valve port and 2 inches would be glued to the external ports of the valve.

I have a Jandy valve on my pool filter. The black knob on the outward side of the valve broke off. Will that cause an air leak in my pool and can it be fixed or do I have to replace the whole valve?

A  Answered on 6/16/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Eric, yes we would suggest fixing this as it could cause an air leak or water leak depending if the valve is on the intake or discharge side of the pump. Here is the Jandy Valve Grease Cap you will require.

Hi Roy, There is a Jandy 2/3 Port Valve O-ring Kit. You can find other parts via the Jandy Standard & Never Lube Valve Parts.

I have this valve installed at my pump. I have a lot of air coming out of the pool jets and it doesn't stop. If I rotate the valve to vacuum and back to skimmer, it clears the air immediately. Do you have any suggestions?

A  Answered on 9/23/2014 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

I would recommend checking the gaskets/o-rings on the valve and pump housing. They may be letting air into the system.

Can I replace the seal inside the gray valve or would I need to replace the entire thing?

A  Answered on 1/3/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The 1154 Jandy Gray 3 Way Valve does not have replacement parts so you would need to replace the entire valve. You might want to consider the same size Jandy Neverlube Valve which does have replacement parts available.

Why do the Jandy valves list ID and OD for each valve?

A  Answered on 1/23/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Each Jandy valve is designed to connect to two different size pipes. For example on a valve shown with ID 1 1/2" and OD 2", a 1 1/2" pipe can be glued inside the port or a 2" pipe can be glued on the outside of the port.

I just bought a house with a pool. i'v never had a pool so my question is when the pump comes on automaticaly (it has a timer)what position is the jandy valve supposed to be turned to the main drain or skimmer?

A  Answered on 4/20/2009 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

You can turn the valve so that all the suction is going to the drain at the bottom of the pool, this will suck any dirt or debris on the bottom of the pool through the drain and clean through the filter. If you turn the valve so the suction is going to the skimmer then you will be pulling any leaves or debris off the surface of the pool. You can also set the valve in a half way position so you are pulling from both the skimmer and main drain. I hope this helps.

Est. Repair Time

1 to 2 hrs

Tools Needed

Sawzall, emory cloth and PVC glue

20 year old Jandy valve was leaking through the gate

Written on 10/17/2019 by Guest

Needed to replace pump and motor assembly, Jandy valve was just in front of this assembly so I removed it at the same time.
Cut pump assembly away from piping with Sawzall.
Then cut PVC piping coming from vacuum line and skimmer line.
Installed 2 1-1/2" couplings on each line.
Glued valve to couplings then completed pump installation.
