I want to use this filter to filter rain water from my roof. How many microns will it filter? How much water flow will it take. Thank You if you know the answers.

Hello Steve - The cartridge will filter down to 10-20 microns. This cartridge is used in a filter than can handle up to 150 gpm.

please advise if a clean and clear 200 be able to replace a 150 and still work if not better??
I have a 150 now.....I am hoping to get more filtration from the 200.
please advise asap.

Hi, You can replace your 150 cartridge with the 200 cartridge, the filtration would be about the same you but you will be able to go a bit longer in between cleanings.

What is the difference between this filter and Pentair R173217 except price. Is it just because it is generic name

Hello Al, The R173217 Pentair Clean & Clear O.E.M. Cartridge is the manufacturer replacement cartridge. The NFC0688 Predator/Clean & Clear 200 Generic Cartridge is a generic replacement cartridge.

How can I tell if I should get the 150 or the 200 for my pool?

Hello Tim, please look at what model number is on your filter. For the 200 is Pentair Clean & Clear 200, the 150 is NFC0687. These both goto Pentair Clean & Clear/Predator System.

This cartridge was the one we needed, as the other one finally gave out. I would think they could be made to last a lot longer, though. Compared to other Pool suppliers, the price and shipping were reasonable.
