will this fit a 12 year old Hayward 4800 cartridge unit? Hayward tells me they are obsolete and there are no replacement.

Owen, The Filter Head 4800 New Version (DEX4820BTC) will not replace the Filter Head C4000/DE4800 (DEX4800BT), you will have to replace the complete filter with either the Hayward Swimclear Cartridge Filter 425 Sq Ft. or the Hayward Swimclear Cartridge Filter 525 Sq Ft. Filter.

I have a Hayward DE4820, serial number: 330M31, and is also 12 years old; will this part fit? My top is cracked open, need to replace.

Hi Peter, The New Version Filter Head (DEX4820BTC) can fit into the DE4820 filter. Also the Filter Head does not include the Manual Air Relief Assy (DEX2420MAR2) FYI.

I have a 20 year old hayward filter model C4025, serial # 21110710050466007 and my upper body housing has cracked. Will this upper body housing dex4820btc work with my lower body housing?

Hi Bob, Yes, the DEX4820BTC will fit the C4025 filter. I'm only able to confirm based on the model number, not the serial number.

The current filter i have says model number DE4800. The top has cracked. Would this top fit my current filter?

Hi, Jay. Unfortunately, this Filter Head will not fit the Hayward MicroClear DE Filter DE4800.
