I have a ten year old DE7220 Hayward filter and I am getting blow by of DE in my pool. I think, that this has also caused the in-floor actuator valve to fail. How long does a normal DE Pro Grid last before replacement and should I replace all the grids or just the ones that have failed?

Hello Glenn, The grids in a D.E. filter do not have a specific length of time they last. I would recommend inspecting all of your grids to locate the one with the hole in it. This would also provide you the perfect opportunity to inspect your other parts of your D.E. filter for potential damage. Another grid could go at any time so your best option would be to replace all of the grids at the same time, to ensure uniformity.

Double checking this fits a ProGrid DE7220. In the picture, the tall plastic spikes might be a challenge. Don't have those on current manifold. Read review somewhere that they had to be cut off.
