I have a PacFab light fixture #61-8230. Will this replace that?

We could not cross reference your model number but the Pentair Amerlite will replace the Pac-Fab Hatteras pool light.

I'm replacing a Pentair V-380662 "Wet Niche Underwater Luminaire". I can't find that V-380662 reference anywhere. The light has a label on it which says "Series # 784XXX, 788XXX, 789XXX". It also says the replacement gasket is P/N 79101600 and it takes an R40, 500 Watt, 120 Volt bulb. Will your model fit the NIche and serve as a suitable replacement, please?

Hi Les, Based on the information you've provided the Pool Amerlite 500W 120V will be the correct replacement light fixture needed. All you will now have to do is choose the cord length you need.

redoing a older pool at a home we bought. Light trips GFCI so need to replace it, The existing light is a American Products, model R-500-BC 500 watt light, can make out on label that it says to use a model No CN-5 fixture housing. Will this light work as a replacement? Any Pentair light? or other brand light fit in the existing housing? Just trying to figure out what my options are for a replacement. thanks

Hi Les, Yes this light would fit your fixture with details you gave. Also if you are interested in an LED Color Changing version of this light then you could go with this light fixture kit Pentair Amerlite 120V 50' Cord with Pure Colors LED Bulb

Was pretty simple I put on my trunks and got in the pool after turning off all power. Removed old light after disconnecting power cord and switch box. I used a snake to pull in the new cord, put light in the frames, hooked up cord to switch and turned on power. Flipped with and whalla, we have light

After researching available pool light fixtures, INYO had just what was needed, at the best price. The part arrived in good condition within about a week after ordering. Swapping out the light fixture was easy. Making sure power was off to the light fixture, I disconnected the wiring located in a weatherproof box next to the pool. A single screw held the fixture in place. After removing the screw, I set the fixture on the pool deck, cut the power cord, and attached the new 50' cord to the existing cord, which was pulled through the conduit to the weatherproof box. Making sure to leave enough extra cord for future removal for maintenance or repair, I installed the light fixture, wired the cord at the weatherproof box, and tested the light for proper operation. It was an easy install. The part was exactly what was needed, and the new pool light fixture is in and working flawlessly.

(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect replacement light
Reviewed By: Gunite pool owner from Peabody, MA ()
Pros: Exact replacement; easily installed
Cons: None
I received the light in a week was exactly what I ordered. I used nylon mason's twine attached to the old cord and pulled the new one back through using the twine. Newer lights have a compression fitting in the housing that must be unscrewed to pull cord. Took 20 minutes total

It was a direct replacement for my old Hayward light; installation was easy. I recommend using a longer screw so you can hold the fixture away from the wall and be able to see the screw going into the hole; it helps a lot! I was able to find the correct size stainless screw at my local Ace Hardware.

This is a good product for a reasonable price. It turns on and off with a flip of a switch... like magic! Seriously though. It's a good light.
