I want to replace a drain plug on a Hayward XStream 150 Cartridge Filter System 1.5-HP Power-Flo Pump ...filter unit, but want a plug that can be opened and closed to drain. How do I order one?

Hi, Tom. You can use the Hayward SP0729 - Ball Valve in place of this Plug.

I just received this ball valve for the same reason but it leaks a bit. I used some Teflon tape but it doesn’t fit an o ring like the original plug. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Tom, I just purchased the c150 filter and I will most likely need to install this valve on the drain as well. Did you have any luck on fixing the leak? Thank you.

Please use this manual link http://images.inyopools.com/cloud/documents/hayward-filters-xstream-cc1000-owners.pdf on page 5 you will find "Plumbing" please follow all directions and correct as needed.

Not much to say about this backup part. It is an exact fit for my Hayward Pool Filter. I like the fact that it came with an O-ring too.
