Will this pump replace older model # P2RA5F-125L?

Both pumps are 1.5 HP up-rated so it will work. You will have to do some minor re-plumbing to get the pump to fit.

Hello Roseanne - The JWPA series was discontinued. The manufacturer recommends the Dynamo model 340210 as a replacement. The Dynamo is an above ground pool pump. It comes with a standard 110v 3-prong plug.

My original pump was a 1 hp P2R5E 125L. The pump i have now is labeled 1hp but also has a 1-1/2hp. is this a heavy duty motor or is this too much pump?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/6/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Robert M.

Dale - The 1-1/2 HP would not be too much. The total HP (HP x SF) of your current pump and the PHK2RA6F103L are the same (1.65).

A  Answered on 10/31/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Adam Y.

Good Morning Rob, If you are replacing your current pump than yes, This would be a great alternative pump. You could also replace just the motor and I would recommend the A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Up Rate Motor - USQ1152. If you buy the entire all you need is to plumb and wire it if your switch the motor out you will need to replace the shaft seal and all of the o-rings I would recommend the Tune Up Kit Starite P4E & P4EA. If yMax-E-Glas II / DuraGlas II - GOKIT38 . If you need anything else feel free to ask.

Is this pump a drop in replacement for Sta-rite model# MPFA6E-146L?
 Reply

A  Answered on 6/4/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi D.J, From a power and flow standpoint it would be a replacement for the MPFA6E-146L. However, from a plumbing standpoint, it is not a drop in replacement and there is not a drop-in replacement for the MPFA6E-146L. The plumbing ports are not in the exact same spot as your current pump so you will have a little re-plumbing. I really like the PL2602 PureLine Prime 1.5 HP Pump the PureLine Prime Pumps uses a top of the line Century Motor and are priced pretty reasonably.

I want to replace my motor and pump. I currently have a 1.5 hp single speed sta-rite motor and pump and I've been looking at several of the products including the pure line and the sta- rite but I measured my port openings and they are 2 3/8 inch will would be the best replacement pump and motor system for me.
 Reply

A  Answered on 6/10/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Bill, If your port openings measure 2-3/8" then you have 2" ports, here is a good Article on The True Pool Plumbing Dimensions I would suggest the 1.5 HP PureLine Prime as great replacement pump for the Sta-Rite, the plumbing ports on the PureLine Prime are not in the exact same spot as your current pump so you will have a little re-plumbing.

Could you send a few photos of your pump as those will be quite helpful. If you send photos then take a close up shot of the motor label as well as a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos. Once we get any of this information we can make the proper recommendation.

Hi Sheila, we do not have anything that would be an exact drop-in replacement for your SuperMax pump, but we do carry everything you would need to get it running again.  Replacing the motor and the motor shaft seal would be much more economical as well.  Send us pictures of your motor and pump and any labels on them and we can recommend exactly what you need to get it running again.
