i have 3 very small pissing stream of water coming from the top of my pool motor where it meets the pump is there a seal or gasket that goes there?

Yes, This seal plate ( SPX3020E ) or 5110-13E will fit on 1/2 - 2 1/2 Hayward Super II It is part 10 on the parts explosion.

Our Hayward Super pump II was leaking so I ordered a seal kit from you folks. when I got into the pump I find the old ceramic seal is broken and looks like it had been spinning in the seal plate! Melted the heck out of the shoulder.
The diffuser has SP3000-BN on it. The seal plate has no number but looks like the illustration. Just want to make sure I'm ordering the right one. Thanks Ed

Hi Ed, The Hayward Seal Plate (SPX3020E) would be the correct seal plate that can be used with Diffuser p/n SP3000-BN for your Hayward Pump.

I have a Hayward RS1000 and it is leaking at the top of the seal plate. In addition to replacing the seal plate, do I also need to replace any gaskets in that area?

If you have the Hayward Super 2 pump, the correct replacement seal is the SHAFT SEAL 201 (GENERIC) - AS-1521 or the manufacturer's version the HAYWARD SHAFT SEAL (OEM) - SPX1600Z2.

On Hayward pump, what holds seal plate (5110-13E)? I removed motor and impeller housing from strainer, but seal plate appears to not have any fasteners. Prying it up bends it, but won't remove

Hi, Bill Nolden. This Seal Plate is held in place by the housing bolts. Once the housing bolts, the diffuser, and the impeller are removed then you're able to remove the seal plate allow access to the motor mounting screw.

I have a Hayward Super 2 pump. I replaced the motor and when I reassembled the unit I got a leak on the right side of the seal plate. I noticed the seal plate broke at the middle attachment bolt, a small piece of the seal plate broke off. also the top bolt does not tighten. Do I need a new seal plate? Or do I need a new Pump Housing? If so what parts do you recommend?

Hi, Sid. You will need to replace both the Seal Plate - SPX3020E and the Housing - SPX3100AAZ (1-1/2") or SPX3120AAZ (2").

I have a RS1000 1hp pump wit a leak at the seal plate. Is the Sp3020-e and the GOKIT2 the correct replacement parts?

Rene, Yes, you can use both the 5110-13E and the GOKIT2 for the RS1000 pump. If you have a salt system, I would reecommend the GOKIT2SALT.

I have a leak on my Hayward super II where the two halves of the pump/housing bolt together. I replaced the housing gasket, but still have the leak. Would the seal plate be the most likely suspect and what do I look for?

Hi, Scott. The issue could be either the Seal Plate - SPX3020E or the Pump Housing Strainer - SPX3120AAZ. You want to look for signs of unevenness, warping etc.

I have a leak when the pump is running (SP3010EEAZ), it looks like its coming from the bottom between the seal plates where the notch is, was going to replace the plates and ordered the SPX3000F and the SPX3000E but it looked like the plates were not compatible(plates should be flat). Would the SP3020E be compatible with the SPX3000F?

I have water slowly leaking from the join of the pump with the AO Smith UST 1102 motor. Which seal do I need? I can see a break in it on the upper edge above where it's leaking water out (and letting air into the lines back to the pool).

What is the corresponding motor mounting plate that goes with this seal plate? I have a SP-1615-Z1-BEE. And is it recommended to replace the motor mounting plate when replacing the motor?
