Hello Guy - This seal plate goes with the Hayward Super II Pump. If that is what you have, we would recommend the GOKIT2. This kit would include all of the internal seals for the Super II.

Our Hayward Super pump II was leaking so I ordered a seal kit from you folks. when I got into the pump I find the old ceramic seal is broken and looks like it had been spinning in the seal plate! Melted the heck out of the shoulder. The diffuser has SP3000-BN on it. The seal plate has no number but looks like the illustration. Just want to make sure I'm ordering the right one. Thanks Ed

Hi Ed, The Hayward Seal Plate (SPX3020E) would be the correct seal plate that can be used with Diffuser p/n SP3000-BN for your Hayward Pump.

I have a Hayward RS1000 and it is leaking at the top of the seal plate. In addition to replacing the seal plate, do I also need to replace any gaskets in that area?

Ernie, Depending on the age of the pump, I would recommend getting the GOKIT2. It will have all the seals for the pump.

If you have the Hayward Super 2 pump, the correct replacement seal is the SHAFT SEAL 201 (GENERIC) - AS-1521 or the manufacturer's version the HAYWARD SHAFT SEAL (OEM) - SPX1600Z2.

Hayward Super II pump leak (bottom)

Pretty much followed everything described here:
https://youtu.be/iASdiPdrDsU

I kept my motor and pump. I replaced the seal plate, impeller and diffuser. The impeller valve kit appeared to have everything needed and I could have got away with cleaning up the calcium build up, but opted to replace those 3 parts noted earlier since I had it opened up. This video is great and helped me have the understanding to replace the parts in my own. I no longer have a leaking super II. Looks like I need to replace the cartridge filter too as the water pressure in the pool is inadequate. Suction on the attached rebel vacuum is strong. Thank you Inyo!
