The multiport has ports on two sides. The side that has 2 ports - top left is from the pump, bottom right is the return to the pool. The port that is on the other side and by itself is for waste.

Will this valve fit on a 26" ecilipse sand filter
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/13/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Andy O.

Tim- The Valve Assembly, 1 1/2in (spx0710x32) part # 4800-25 is not listed as a replacement valve for your eclipse filter. The 1.5" valve model is obsolete, they only have the Side Mount Multiport 2" w/plumb Eqfv W.g. (50181311) Part # 4650B listed as a replacement. I would recommend calling Pentair at 1-800-831-7133 if you need the 1.5" valve to see if they have a replacement.

I need to replace the multiport valve (Pac Fab sp710, 6 positions). My DE filter is Pac fab "Nautilus" NS-36. What is the right P/N Valve you have in stock?

Hi Antonio, For the older Pac Fab filters which used the Hayward SP710 valve you would require this Pentair 261173 Multiport Valve

Why do you continue to purchase these poorly made and leaking MultiPortValves from CMP? They couldn't get it right 2 years ago and now I hear they are trying to bring them back to sell? CMP manufactures cheap unreliable products and can never back up their product with a quality statement...... I do not believe they understand the meaning of the word quality......

That generic CMP multiport valve is no longer available, the Hayward multiport valve for that filter is part number SP0710X32.

Hi Miguel, It looks like the stem of your diverter also broke, so I would suggest this Complete SP0710 Upper Handle Assembly and this SP0710 Cover O-ring. Here is a link to see the Complete Parts Listing for Your SP0710 Valve

Hi John, yes the pool pump must be off before moving the multiport valve position and needs to be moved in the clockwise direction.
