I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Do you have a selector side valve to fit an old Heldor PF-50? Mfg. by Pac Fab. The filter works well as does our pump, but the selector valve needs replacing. Thank you.

Can you drain the pool with the pump? Would you use on the waste setting on the valve to bypass the filter and drain the pool?

Yes you can lower the water through the filter is you have a D.E. or Sand filter by sending the water directly to waste. Please note that if you are dropping the water level below the skimmer, I would recommend closing the valve to the skimmer and/or using a plug to cap off the skimmer.

This is listed under DE filters, but it says "Sand" on the picture. Will this work for a DE filter? Thanks.

Hello Mark, depending on what DE filter you have is depending on whether this valve would work for your needs. This particular valve works with a Pentair Quad D.E. Filter Parts. That is the only DE filter that this valve works with.

I have a PAC-FAB sand filter, model TR60, area is 3.1 sq.ft, flowrate is 60gpm. It has a 2" side-mount PAC-FAB valve identified as SP 710 (if that means anything). I need to replace the valve. What part # do I need?

Hi, Rob. You can use any of the 2" MPV listed on the Pentair Triton 2 Fiberglass Sand Filter part page. The SP710 valve is a 1-1/2" valve and the SP0715ALL is the 2" valve.

I have a Pac-Fab super flow PF-50 sand filter. I want to have a multiport valve installed on it so I can vacum to waste. Currently I have a slide valve that I use to backflush. Will this valve kit work with my sand filter?

Yes, this valve will work on your model filter as long as you have 1.5-inch plumbing.

hI- I have a Pentair FNS-Plus (FNSP36) and the handle to divert the water no longer works correctly so I am assuming- after all the Q&A's I've read -I need a valve kit. I am looking for a SM10-2d.e. (showing 6 bolts) would this Pentair Multiport Valve Kit 1 1/2" Generic Threaded (SM1-PP3) work? If so - what exactly would I have to order?

Hi, Kathy. You can either replace the entire valve with this SM1-PP3 valve or rebuild it using the Top Valve Assy - E-50-S1, Diverter Gasket - 271104 and the Cover O-ring - 271103.

I own a pool cleaning business and have never encountered this problem before. I backwashed and rinsed this style multi port valve and it seemed normal. I then tried to put it on recirculate and the water was still coming out of the waste end. Which is weird. Then I put it back on filter mode and it seemed like it never backwashed properly, barely any flow in the pool. Is there any reason why these things happened or is the multi port broken?

I HAVE THE SM1 PP3 valve and when in filter mode , water is dripping out of the back wash drain pipe... is there a gasket I should replace in it to prevent the draining while in filter mode?

This multiport seems to match up to our TR60. It's an SM-10 3 Sand, but it is a 75 GPM and this one displayed is a 60 GPM. Will it work?

This valve IS used on that model filter. The GPM rating is just a max rating. The GPM or flow rate is dependant on the size of your pump as well. You should be fine with this replacement valve.
