Will I be able to remove my twist lock plug from my burnt out jacuzzi and splice it to this new pump?

Yes you could use your old cord on the new pump. You would not need to splice as there should be spade connectors where the cord attaches and detatches so you should be able to loosen these to remove and re-apply cord.

I have a model 1LRC-5-48-51. Is this pump compatible with this model?

It could work. One has a cord and the other doesn't and one is a 1HP and the other is 1-1/2HP. As far as plumbing everything is the same but one of the motors gets wired and the other one you plug into an outlet.

Hi, This pump can replace a Pentair Dynamo pump, if you have a union hose we will need to know the part number because it might not thread onto this pump.

We have a JACUZZI model #S15LR-3 with 1 1/2 HP for our above ground pool. It leaks through cracks and it has 3450 RPM. Is this the replacement for it? at least would it suit our needs?

Hi Joy, as long as your pump had the discharge port coming out of the top of the pump then this would be the correct pump. The discharge port is the port that has the hose going to the filter, sometimes this is located on the side.

Hi, George. The over all length is 21", the suction/discharge include both 1.5" FNPT and 1.5" straight union connection. The unions are sold separately, Union, S15uns Half, 1-1/2" Slip (31175607) PART#9173F .

Hi Dean, There is not a way to calculate back pressure unless it's installed. You can view the SLR Tech Sheet for performance info.

is there a reset switch on this part. Having problems with the system staying on. Had someone to come out and change the outlet but it appears that it system has blown it again. Please advise.

will this work for my splash pak sand filter model SS160-S1B-6-HK6..i know it is a 1.5 hp ..the one i have now is a 1hp but i have had to replace it ever couple of years..so i though the 1 1/2hp might benefit better..thanks, Kay

The 1.5hp isn't going to last longer it will have more flow. It will also cost more to run. I would recommend you stay with your current pump and just replace the motor. Unless, you want more flow. I would need to know where your current flow is at psi wise. You can get that off the pressure gauge on your filter.

Hi, Coachd, Yes, you can downsize to a 1-1/2 HP pump if it can provide enough water flow to your pool. I don't think it will be an issue because most above ground pool is within 4 feet of the pool.

Hi, Scott. Yes, you can use the vertical discharge pump and redo the plumbing. You will also have to elevate the filter for efficiency.

The skimmer bottom broke during the night and the pump ran dry for several hours. The pump now makes a high pitch sound when running. Is there a place where I can lube either the pump or motor to see if that will help?

Hi, Danny. Lubricating the current seals will not resolve the problem, I would recommend replacing them using the Jacuzzi LR Series Tune Up Kit - GOKIT41. The high pitch sound could be the bearings failing inside the motor.

The electrical spec is the same. The physical configuration seems similar. I need to make sure the hose connections are the same.

Hi Gregg, We would recommend the PureLine PL1502 1.5 HP Pure Pro XL as a replacement pump. Please note the PL1502 is 115V and comes with a standard 3 Prong plug.
