Do you have PowerFlo Matrix Pump 1.5 HP Dual Speed - SP15932S for 220v?, if so, what is the price?. Thanks.
Reply
Hi Abel, unfortunately, these Hayward Powerflo Matrix pool pumps do not come in 220/240 voltage. That voltage is most commonly associated with inground swimming pool pumps.

I have a 12' round pool (52 inches deep) and it is connected to a Hayward Power-Flo 1hp (single speed) Matrix pump. It works fine but is loud and is 8 years old. I am considering a replacement but because I live in California I am required to replace it with a 2-speed unit. What do you recommend?
Reply
Hi Walter, I think this W3SP15932S will be your best option. Or if you just want to replace your motor then you could go with this 1 HP Dual Speed Replacement Motor and this Shaft Seal and this Dual Speed Switch.

What size of union connector do I need to connect this pump to the skimmer and filter? We are currently using 1.5 pvc pipes for our pool plumbing.

Would this pump work well with the W3S244T sand filter?
Reply
Hello Aaron- On High speed, this pump will be too powerful for you. I would recommend something like the Power-Flo II 1 HP 1-Speed Pump - SP1780 - W3SP1780 based on the GPM rating of 62 on the W3S244T.

Currently have a 30' diameter pool 52" deep with a dual speed Hayward pump part #7-193347-01. It is making a squealing noise I thought maybe a bearing was going out. The pump has been running 6 months a year on high for 8 to 10 hours per day for six years. It is hooked up to a salt system. Do you think it could be repaired or has it run its course? Also should I be running it on high or could I use the low speed? What pump do you suggest I get to replace mine if need? Thank you.
Reply
Hi, Shawn. The squealing noise is almost certainly failing bearings. The bearings (10000379) or the motor (SPX1515Z2ES) can be replaced. You can run your pump on low speed if it will provide sufficient water flow. This PowerFlo Matrix Pump - W3SP15932S can be use as a replacement.

Hi-- I'm interested in the Hayward SP15932S 1.5HP and the Hayward SP15922S 1HP. What is the current (Amperage) draw of both of these at full speed? At 1/2 speed?
What is the flow rate (GPM) for each of these at half speed and 10ft head?
Thanks!
full speed flow rates:

SP1593 91 91 80 62 32

I am installing an ag 18x54 pool with a main drain. I was thinking about a two speed motor 1.5/.75 hp.
Is this the one I would need or would you recommend another? Also, I was thinking about going with a 220v motor.
I have the ability to use either voltage.

My current pump is a dual speed 1.5hp with a twist lock cord. I noticed this one says it is 3 prong? Is this pump available with a twist lock cord, or can it easily be switched from one pump to the next?

Will the ST15932S work on a hot tube. I do not need the strainer/ basket it is built in to the tube. The motor was a Hayward SP1515-Z-24-E 115v 1.5-.18 3450/1725 rpm. The tube has the high/low switch for the jets. It is a 4 prong with red to high and black to low.

Yes, the SP15932S will replace your current SP1515.

Do any of these pumps have a decent warranty if purchased online. Looking to replace a starite P2R

The Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro would be a great replacement for your current Sta-Rite Dura-Glas. There is a 1.5HP dual speed option as well, part number P6RA6YF206L.

Hi, my Hayward model sp57152cp is shot. From looking at replacement pumps the sp15932s seems to be the best choice, I think? With my old pump the 2 speeds are controlled with a rocker switch, low-off-high. Does the dual speeds on the sp15932s work the same way?
Reply
Yes, it has a toggle switch that allows you to switch from high to low and low to high.

Hi, I have the Hayward SP 1515. I want to connect the ground wire. Does it get connected to the screw under the on off switch? Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt, The ground wire which is "green" is located near the power terminal and bonding lug is located under the motor end cover near the on/off switch.

I am replacing my old Sta-rite pump that has burned out. It was a JWPS5FL-A2. I am using a Sta-rite sand filter T-210WF. 2.18, 44 gpm,20, 50 psi, 200lbs sand. I have ordered a Hayward Matrix Powerflo 1.5 dual speed pump as a replacement. My pool is 46x18 oval at 52 high. I am trying to go with this pump due to the energy savings and looking at solar. All my pluming is hard piped. I have a Union on the pump to filter line for easier repair or replacement. Is this a good match or will it work ok?
Reply
Hi Hank, The Hayward SP15932S model pump is a good replacement pump. I'm not certain if the hose with connector will match up if not you will need the MPT to Buttress Adapter.

I have a 42ft x 22ft oval with 52in walls. Will this 1.5 hp pump be sufficient or do I need a 2hp?
Reply
Hi Chris, This 1.5 HP pump would be sufficient for a pool your size depending on your size filter and desire run time.

I am replacing my 1.5 HP broken pump with a Hayward pump. Given that I have a small size pool (in the order of 15,000 gallons), feeding Hayward star clear plus filter system C12002. I have both intake and discharge to be 2 inches. The 1.5 hp Hayward pumps are all 1.5" intake and discharge. There s 2 hp pump with 2" requirement fulfilled but it sounds too much. What do you suggest ?
Reply
With a C12002 model filter you do not want to go any stronger on your motor for that is too much pressure. Though the ports are 1.5 inches on that pump you can still install it with 2 inch lines. You just need reducer fittings to install.

I came home today and turned on the pool pump Hayward model SP15932S it just makes a humming sound on either speed. It was working fine when I turned it off this morning do you think it's the motor or that the pump impeller may have jammed somehow?
Reply
Hi Joe, You can take apart the pump and inspect it but it sounds like the motor capacitor or entire motor needs to be replaced. You can view our blog on Pool Motor Troubleshooting for more detail info.

My pump died on a 24ft above ground pool. Filter on pool i previously upgraded to Hayward S180t, however at that time i did not replace the original waterway 1hp pump unit. From reading online I find that a Hayward 1.5hp pump is what the replacement should be. Question I have is why would I want a 2 speed vs a 1 speed, it appears Hayward makes this setup in either or speed.
Reply
Hi Mark, A dual speed pump will allow operate your pool on a lower speed to save on energy cost, you will have to have the pump run longer but you will save on energy versus a single speed pump.

Need to replace my Sta-Rite Model JWPAS5F-2A4 pump and motor (motor model S48B74A03 HP 1.5 with 2" inflow and discharge. Is this pump and motor a good replacement? Can I get it with 2" rather then 1.5" intake?
Reply
I would actually suggest the Sta-Rite Dynamo Pump here as it is very similar to your JWPA pump which will mean the plumbing will be easier. The Dynamo pump does have 1-1/2" ports but we do carry 1-1/2" x 2" unions which would easily adapt this pump for 2" plumbing.

Currently the Hayward on now not working, it is a 2HP, should I remain 2HP or can I use a 1.5HP?
Reply
Jose, If you're current pool pump is a 2 hp you should replace it with a 2 hp. You do not want to run into complications with the pool if the 1 1/2 hp is not strong enough.

How many gallons per minute/hour does this pump create?
Reply
Hello Wayne - This pump will push a maximum of 91 gallons per minute on the high speed. This volume will decrease if the feet of head is greater than 20'.
Reply
How does the pump switch speeds? Does it require a specific controller that is not included?
Reply
Hello Trevor - On the back of the motor there is a 3 way toggle switch for high / low. It is a manual operation , but does not require a special timer mechanism.
Reply
What are the amps at high speed and low speed? Also, does the pump have a plug and how long is the cord?
Reply
The amps are 16.4 on the high speed and 4.4 on the low speed. The cord is 6' long and has a 3-prong plug.
Reply
What is the voltage on this unit? How long is the manufactures warranty? If the system requires repairs during warranty, what do I do?
Reply
This pump runs on 115V power. This unit comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. If the pump needed repair, you would call Hayward directly and they would put you in touch with a warranty service station in your area.

Pros: Much Improved design over older models.Motor runs cooler than previous pump.
Cons: Motor seems to have slightly less power than the older pump motor.
I purchased this pump as a replacement for a previous Hayward pump that i have had for 12 years. It was very easy to install and attach to my existing filter.Pump seems to be made very well and the quality is very good. The power switch and pumps design is much improved over my old pump. The motor seems to be not as strong as my older model, but it doesn't get as hot as the older model, which in my opinion is a good trade off.I expect to get 10 years or more, reliable service from this pump.

(5 out of 5 stars) Hayward Matrix 1.5HP dual speed
Reviewed By: Corey C. from Attleboro, MA ()
Excellent pump. INYO service is excellent as well. First pump arrived damaged. After a few conversations and emails a new one was shipped and received in perfect condition. INYO was very easy to deal with. Pump is powerful and quiet. Low speed pumps fairly high volume and only consumes 2.9amps. Very user friendly. Only complaint is the bulkhead fitting that connects the pump outlet is 2.5"FPT rather than 3" which is far more standard. Since this is a pressureized connection it was a bit of fussing to get this connection adapted. However, I wouldn't hold this against Hayward... and in no way does it reduce my satisfaction with this product.

Bought this as a replacement for a cheap Emerson. It's quiet, 2 speed which I got used to and can't live w/o. Makes back-flushing and rinsing a 30 second job. Super pump and an outstanding deal.
