The pump motor has died on my Magnum Force Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump - 94027115 unit. Please recommend a replacement motor. Thanks.

A     Answered on 2/20/2017 by Lennox H.

Hi, Randy. You can use the UST1152 standard motor or UCT1152 high efficiency motor as a replacement for your Magnum Force Pump. I would also recommend getting the Magnum Tune Up Kit - GOKIT14.

I have a 20,000 gal. in ground - my Jacuzzi Magnum Force pump lasted 15 years. Pool is run on salt chlorine generator. Numbers on pump are 1UMF-5 &94027110. Not sure of horsepower. Want to buy new pump from you. Will my current piping connections work with the new pumps? What horsepower do you recommend & which pump? I have a 200 pound sand filter - pool is not heated. Am running 230 volts Thanks

A     Answered on 2/15/2017 by Lennox H.

Hi, Stuart. You currently have a 1 HP Magnum Force Pump. Since that pump has worked for 15 years a would recommend replacing it with the same Magnum Force Pump 1 HP Pump - 94027110.

I have a magnum force jacuzzi 15umfs unit installed in 2001 when then the pool was built. I was told that a different type of pool pump like a 2phase Pentair is lower cost electricity and higher efficiency what do you think about updating it?Pentair IntelliFlo 3 HP Variable Speed Swimming Pool Pump 4x160 VS-3050 011018 is what I was considering. but I think that is a 3hp unit vs the old 1.5

A     Answered on 1/3/2017 by Lennox H.

Hi, Neil. If you do not want to get a 3 HP pump because it's more pump that you need, then you have several different options. The Raypak Variable Speed Pool Pump - PS165VSP is the best replacement we have available. You can view other variable speed pumps via this link > Variable Speed Pumps.

I have 13 y/o jacuzzi magnum force 94026115. Would a current Carvin jacuzzi be an exact replacement including the quick connect connectors? What is the model number to order from you?. I live in Carlsbad CA? Will your diy video help me in install. It seems like it would be easy as I do a lot around the house. I have experience with in ground sprinkler install and repair and this seems like it would be similar.

Hi Joe, This Jacuzzi Magnum Force Pump is the single phase option for the 1-1/2 Hp 3 Phase Jacuzzi Magnum Force pump with the same performance.

A     Answered on 6/7/2016 by Patrick P.

Hi Jim, the 2UMF-S is the 2 HP Magnum Force Pump if you want to step down to 1-1/2 HP then this pump here is the correct pump.

Hi, I have a few questions. 1. Does this 'pump' include the motor, pump housing, impeller, basket, etc.? 2. My bad pump has a sticker that says '2004 Magnum Force 15UTMF-S' (not -S2), motor is two speed, 1.5 HP, Order# 94027215 Is this a standard setup? ( I see you have the 94027115 with this setup) 3. Local chain sold my wife just a motor, STS1152R, it looks compatible, but at $400, I'm wondering if you have the entire setup for a similar price and I can take the motor back. Thanks

A     Answered on 6/5/2016 by Lennox H.

Hi Robert, This is a complete pump with motor and housing. This pump is a single speed not a dual speed, we do not have model # 94027215 available.

I've been led to believe by many people That Jacuzzi pool supplies are now obsolete! Some sources say it was sold to another provider. How are you able to supply replacements, or were you over stocked? Is it advisable to go from a 1hp to a 1.5hp Thanx much

A     Answered on 5/18/2016 by Alan M.

Hello, The company, Carvin, is the only authorized manufacturer of Jacuzzi products. They are currently operating, supplying parts and products globally. We have an excellent blog post, "Can I Go With A Higher Horsepower Pump?", available on our website that will answer all of your questions on upgrading you current pool pump.

I currently have a 15 year old Jacuzzi 15UMF-S Magnum and I was wondering should i go back with the Jacuzzi Magnum or is it worth the extra money to get the Hayward Super Pump? The only reason I am looking around is because my local Pool Place wants almost 600 dollars for a 1.5hp Hayward Pump and that doesn't include install. Thanks!

A     Answered on 4/6/2016 by Megan C.

Hello, Mike. When  replacing the Swimming Pool Pump you will need to take into consideration the output Flow Rate of the pump and the Filter's capabilities of the Maximum Flow Rate of total Gallons Per Minute. The Jacuzzi Magnum chart indicates the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump PART# 94027115 will perform at 72GPM to 50' Resistance to Flow. I would best recommend replacing the pump with the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump. Both pump manufacturers offer great quality products, as I do not know any other information regarding your filtration system it is best to replace it with the same pump. If you would prefer to send us more information in about your system, please send an email to upload@inyopools.com

Is the Jacuzzi magnum 1.5hp pump the same as an old jacuzzi magnum plus 1.5hp? what is the difference between the two? Your help is appreciated in the purchasing decision.

A     Answered on 3/8/2016 by Lennox H.

Hi Mike, The difference between the Magnum and the Magnum Plus is that the Magnum Plus uses full rate motors and the Magnum uses Up Rate motors.

Hi, just bought a house with an in-ground pool. The pump is not working. The model is a Jacuzzi Magnum Plus 1UMP-S order no: 94026770. Do you have a replacement motor or what pump is compatible if I decide to replace the whole unit. Thanks in advance.

A     Answered on 3/3/2016 by Lennox H.

Hi Michelle, if you would like to replace the motor, you'll need the A.O. Smith 1 HP Round Flange Up Rate Motor (UST1102) and the Jacuzzi Magnum Tune Up Kit (GOKIT14). If you decide to replace the entire pump then the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 HP Pump will be the correct replacement.

How do you change it to 110 volt?

A     Answered on 9/25/2015 by Joe S.

If you are wiring for 115V, the three wires to the pool pump will be black, white and green. Attach the white wire to terminal 1 of Line 1 (L1). Attach the black wire to terminal 3 of Line 2 (L2). Attach the green wire under the Ground screw (GND). The black plug is shifted in position so the the black wire is attached to terminal 4 Line 2 (L2) and the white wire is attached to terminal 5. Note: in this position the white arrow on top of the 2 prong black plug is pointing at the 115V label.

Teyy, The Magnum and Magnum Force are the same model pump. The name has changed.

The Jacuzzi Magnum 94027115 is dual voltage. The pump would arrive set on 230 volt but it can be easily changed to 115 in the field.

Powerful pump with a small footprint and very quiet we got it to replace spa jet pump for a condo association so it done well with all the on off on again from the owners come with it's own unions for a easy install out of are 4 pumps it is on cannot tell it is on, The only thing I'm not happy with is the lid to the basket.  (5 out of 5 stars)  Very Satisfied

from Milwaukee Metro Area ()

Pros: Self Priming, Strainer Check Valve and air bleed off tube, quiet operation

Cons: none

Ordering was simple, delivery was quick and on time. Installed as a replacement for a 15+ Year old Jacuzzi Magnum that never missed a beat. The old pump was not winterized correctly otherwise I am sure it would have kept on going, no fault of the pump. I particularly like the way that the new strainer is designed with the check valve and the bleeder tube. Also the unit is for the most part self priming, unlike its older and now dead brother that I unfortunately killed myself.

(5 out of 5 stars)  Exactly what I was hoping for...

from Troy, MI ()

Pros: Affordable, easy to install, works well

Cons: Pump comes with a separate plastic part to support the back, which should not be separate. Not a huge concern, and only "con" to this product.

I never shopped INYOPools before, so I want to comment on both the company and the pump. My first experience with this company was excellent. The new pool pump arrived in a timely manner, worked perfectly, and was easy to install. I upgraded from a 1hp to 1.5hp of the same brand and was pleased with the noticeable difference it made in my filtration system. I highly recommend this company, and the product.
