Is this a dual or var. pump? When I hit details it gives me Pure line info. Is this pump still available? Is it Calif. compliant?

A     Answered on 8/23/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Bill. This is a single speed pool pump, we do not have a dual speed version of this pump. However, their is a variable speed version that can be special ordered, the Magnum Force V Series 1.65HP Variable Speed Pump (15VMF-S) - 94026117. The PureLine Prime 2.7 HP Variable Speed Pool Pump - PL2606 is also a suitable option.

Hi, Edward. We do have a few pumps that you can uses, however, we will first need to know the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) and the turnover rate. To calculate the TDH of your pool, use the info provided in these Inyo guides How To Measure Total Dynamic Head With Gauges and How Do I Calculate Feet of Head for My Pool?

I have Jacuzzi Magnum Force pump 1UMF-Spump with 7-184948-22 1HP motor. I am planning on adding solar collectors on my 2 story roof for heating the pool water, and they are recommending a 1.5 HP pump. Your recommendations for pump/motor replacement?

A     Answered on 6/15/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Greg. You will definitely need a larger pump. However, the size of the pump will be based on the number of panels, plumbing size, etc. You can use this Magnum Force Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump if they confirmed it will be sufficient.

Yes if you have a 2hp motor with a higher Service Factor then you would go with this unit. You can also go with Magnum Force V Series 2.7HP Variable Speed Pump (VMF-S2) - 94026140

My pool pump & motor ran for nearly six hours with multiport valve on closed. I found the motor still running with no water in pump skimmer basket. I opened the lid and water rushed in from pool side. I Set multiflow to filter & turned back on. water began blowing out the band clamp between pump and motor with no pressure register to the filter tank gauge. I lost 3inches of water from pool. Is my pump shot or can it be repaired? What Parts do I get to systematically check out the pump function

A     Answered on 6/28/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

John. I would consider the pump shot because it will be expensive to repair. You may have to replace the drive end which is the parts from the diffuser to the seal housing depending on what went bad.

?     Asked on 6/18/2017 by Frank

Is the housing for magnum the same for all horsepower motors. I would like to downgrade from 1.5 to 3/4 horse power. Thanks

A     Answered on 6/25/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Frank. The housing is the same on all the different hp. To downsize the pump from 1.5 to 3/4 you'll need to replace the motor, impeller, diffuser, eye seal, and the pump seal and o-rings. Replacing the complete pump model # 94027107 may be cheaper.

Hi, Randy. You can use the UST1152 standard motor or UCT1152 high efficiency motor as a replacement for your Magnum Force Pump. I would also recommend getting the Magnum Tune Up Kit - GOKIT14.

Hi, Neil. If you do not want to get a 3 HP pump because it's more pump that you need, then you have several different options. The Raypak Variable Speed Pool Pump - PS165VSP is the best replacement we have available. You can view other variable speed pumps via this link > Variable Speed Pumps.

My bad pump has a sticker that says '2004 Magnum Force 15UTMF-S' (not -S2), motor is two speed, 1.5 HP, Order# 94027215 Is this a standard setup? ( I see you have the 94027115 with this setup) 3. Local chain sold my wife just a motor, STS1152R, it looks compatible, but at $400, I'm wondering if you have the entire setup for a similar price and I can take the motor back. Thanks

I currently have a 15 year old Jacuzzi 15UMF-S Magnum and I was wondering should i go back with the Jacuzzi Magnum or is it worth the extra money to get the Hayward Super Pump? The only reason I am looking around is because my local Pool Place wants almost 600 dollars for a 1.5hp Hayward Pump and that doesn't include install. Thanks!

A     Answered on 4/6/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Megan C.

Hello, Mike. When  replacing the Swimming Pool Pump you will need to take into consideration the output Flow Rate of the pump and the Filter's capabilities of the Maximum Flow Rate of total Gallons Per Minute. The Jacuzzi Magnum chart indicates the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump PART# 94027115 will perform at 72GPM to 50' Resistance to Flow. I would best recommend replacing the pump with the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 1/2 HP Pump. Both pump manufacturers offer great quality products, as I do not know any other information regarding your filtration system it is best to replace it with the same pump. If you would prefer to send us more information in about your system, please send an email to

A     Answered on 3/3/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi Michelle, if you would like to replace the motor, you'll need the A.O. Smith 1 HP Round Flange Up Rate Motor (UST1102) and the Jacuzzi Magnum Tune Up Kit (GOKIT14). If you decide to replace the entire pump then the Jacuzzi Magnum Pump 1 HP Pump will be the correct replacement.

How do you change it to 110 volt?

A     Answered on 9/25/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

If you are wiring for 115V, the three wires to the pool pump will be black, white and green. Attach the white wire to terminal 1 of Line 1 (L1). Attach the black wire to terminal 3 of Line 2 (L2). Attach the green wire under the Ground screw (GND). The black plug is shifted in position so the the black wire is attached to terminal 4 Line 2 (L2) and the white wire is attached to terminal 5. Note: in this position the white arrow on top of the 2 prong black plug is pointing at the 115V label.
