I have a 2001 year model Sta-Rite Max-E Glas II model P4E6L-188L pool pump. It says the Code is "1J00V",... not sure what this means?
It has a SF = 1.47 so that means it is a 230 volt rated pump.
I need the replacement motor ( it has the capacitor on top ) the big band broke , so I need the motor, seals and gasket kit. What else do I need to get this back on running? It was flooded recently.

Hello Steve- Here is a link to the Max-E-Glas II Parts page, for your reference. The correct replacement motor is the A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Full Rate Motor - SQ1152. The correct seal kit is the Tune Up Kit Starite P4E & P4EA Max-E-Glas II / DuraGlas II - GOKIT38. If you need to replace the metal band, the correct replacement part is the Clamp, Tank Body (v26-351).

Where can I find the pump part number so I know if it's a max e glas or a dura glas?

the information would be on the front half of your pump. The manufacturer and model would usually belocated on a sticker or plate on the plastic housing of the pump or on the impeller.

What is a direct bolt in replacement for the Max-E-Glas II 1 1/2 HP Pump in a 2 HP two speed or variable speed pump
Reply
Hello Steve, you can go either with the B2983T which would be 2 speed or the ECM16SQU variable speed. Also remember it will be best to change the seals and gaskets. The GOKIT38 will be needed.

How many Volts is my old Max-E-Glas II 1 1/2 HP motor?
Reply
Hello Steve - If it is a full rated 1.5HP motor with a 1.47 service factor, the voltage would be 230v. If it is an uprated 1.5HP motor with a 1.1 service factor, the voltage is 115/230v.
