Screwdriver, Socket Set
My motor did not have specs, but I knew the type it had started, it was a Hayward replacement. So I found the right flange setup.
I turned off the power and removed the cabling from the motor
I removed the old motor by first taking off the pump head
Next, I removed the pump by holding the shaft and spinning it off.
I had to remove the frame.
I worked backwards and attached the new motor to the frame and then the pump.
I had to use a screw driver from the back to hold the motor from spinning while I spun the pump impeller back on.
Buttoned all up and rewired.
