Part # GOKIT2

Alternate Part #'s 65002, GO KIT 2, PL1002, AEQGOKIT2, APCK1013

Product Description

Standard tune up kit for the Hayward Super II pump includes the shaft seal and all o-rings, gaskets and lubricant.

We highly recommend replacing the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets when replacing your motor.  If you use your old shaft seal, it will not mate up properly with the new motor and may leak.

This Tune Up Kit Works on These Pumps:

  • All Hayward Super II Pumps 1/2 HP - 3 HP single and dual speed models.
  • All Hayward SP3000 Series Pumps
  • Works on both standard efficiency and energy efficient Hayward Super II pumps
  • Leslie's Hydramax II
  • Note: Hayward Super Pumps use GOKIT3

Tune Up Kit Includes:

  • Motor Shaft Seal
  • Diffuser Gasket
  • Pump Lid O-Ring
  • Housing Gasket
  • Lubricant

I recently changed my pool motor and gaskets. I made sure to lubricate all the gaskets with vaseline. A few days later water is leaking from the pump. What did I do wrong? Help please!!

You never want to use vaseline on any rubber gaskets or o-rings. Vaseline is petroleum based and will deteriorate the rubber quickly. Whenever you change the motor on a pool pump it is recommended that you replace the gaskets and shaft seal as well. A >Go-kit contains the shaft seal, packet of non-petroleum based lubricant and gaskets you will need for your pump. If you already have the gaskets, you can purchase >Magic Lube.

My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?
 Reply

A  Answered on 10/15/2014 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

GO KIT2 65002. IS THIS THE KIT FOR UST 1102 REPLACEMENT MOTOR?

To determine which Tune Up Kit you require we would need to know the model of your pump. Examples would be the Hayward Super Pump, Hayward Super II, Hayward Max Flo, Jacuzzi Magnum, etc.. Please email us back with this information and we will let you know which Tune Up Kit is right for you.

I need a tune up kit for a Hayward Super II Pool Pump (2004-2005) Model #K48N2N104. Which kit do you recommend? 2 HP Pump/230 V. The kits that I am seeing on your website don't match the model number that is on my Hayward Pump. Thanks Ralph

Old Leaking motor replaced with new motor and seals

Written on 2/10/2022 by Guest

Very very happy that I was able to replace this old motor but all the print had faded off and I wasn't sure how many HP the pump had made it difficult to order a new one to ensure it would match up with my pump. Ive been trying to figure this out for quite some time. I learned from Inyo Pools that you can take the motor off and look at the impeller PN# and reverse engineer by researching the impeller PN# to see what HP it was designed for. Once I found out the HP I immediately ordered the Century energy efficient model, a "Go Kit" seal kit and new impeller ring and flange. Before I took the motor off the pump I shocked the pool and let it run for several hours, then turned off the 220 circuit breaker and removed the pump, took pictures of the timer wiring with my phone. Worked on breaking down the motor by removing the impeller and old seal and set the motor aside until the new one arrived. Box arrived in very good condition with the other parts inside, everything was in very good condition upon arrival and .... shipping was free! I took the electrical whip off the old motor and wired it to the new motor, took the pump parts off the old motor, cleaned them up, and installed them on the new motor. Inyo pools sent videos from their knowledge base and I watched the videos on how to install the Go-Kit seals, flange and impeller ring, and everything went accordingly and fit perfect. I installed the new Impeller ring and Round Flange per InyoPools video. After the motor was ready, I brought it the pump and installed the new round seal after lubricating it with the lube provided with the Go-Kit. Motor slid right in, bolted up perfect, I then re-attached the wiring whip to the timer, turned the circuit breakers on and the moment of truth was upon me. I flipped the switch to "on" and the pump came to life making very little sound or noise and fired right up! the pump is very quiet and energy efficient and I am very satisfied and proud of replacing the motor and seals myself and saving a lot of $$$. Another perfect DIY job!

Pump bearing worn out, freezes

Written on 2/22/2021 by Guest

I asked my pool man for advice when the pump became noisy and he told me I should try to replace the motor. I contacted Inyo Pools to order a replacement-Hayward Super2 plus a GoKit. The parts came in one package after several days. I viewed the tutorials several times to get a handle on the job. I removed the old motor and followed the steps to install the new one with new seals. First try the motor didn’t start, so I double checked to see if I was suffering from operator trouble. After that I initiated a chat with Inyo and set up a Product Support Ticket in order to replace the motor. 24 hours later I decided to dig deeper into the issue only to find a wire issue in the 220 line to the motor. I rewired the line and tried the pump again. Total immediate success!! As a simple homeowner I’m thrilled!

Original Hayward pump died

Written on 12/26/2020 by Guest

On line instructions were quite detailed. Followed them no problem. Did have a problem unscrewing the impeller though. Fought with it with various tools including vise grips and channel locks. Turned out it had plastic threads molded in and were gone after removal. New impeller had metal threads so an improvement.

Small leak where motor and pump meet.

Written on 4/5/2018 by Guest

Purchased Tune up kit and then followed the video online. Watched video through twice before tackling the pump. Took my time, followed instructions, and was fairly simple process. Pump one again running smoothly and we have no more leak! Strongly recommend the Inyopools products and online support information.

My pool pump burned up.

Written on 1/21/2018 by Guest

I pulled the the pump assembly apart. I figured it would be best to order the pump parts as well as the motor.
The motor and seal/gasket kit came in 3 days. That was unexpected, but was delighted that it came in so soon.
