I recently changed my pool motor and gaskets. I made sure to lubricate all the gaskets with vaseline. A few days later water is leaking from the pump. What did I do wrong? Help please!!

You never want to use vaseline on any rubber gaskets or o-rings. Vaseline is petroleum based and will deteriorate the rubber quickly. Whenever you change the motor on a pool pump it is recommended that you replace the gaskets and shaft seal as well. A >Go-kit contains the shaft seal, packet of non-petroleum based lubricant and gaskets you will need for your pump. If you already have the gaskets, you can purchase >Magic Lube.

My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?

The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

Hi Charlie, The CT1102 Motor will be the correct replacement for old K48L2N104 motor and the Hayward Super II Tune Up Kit (GOKIT2) will also be the correct kit for the Hayward RS1000 pump.

The gasket kit is matched to the pump housing and not the motor. What is the model number of your pump housing? If it is a Hayward, the model number should begin with an 'SP.'

looking for a 3.0 hp full rated motor for a super 2 pump model sp3015eeaz. I currently have a a.o.smith 1 1/2 hp with a sf = 1.33, C type, round flange, 56J.
I want to end up with an additional 1 hp when I make the change.
Not enough power currently to efficiently operate both the pop-ups and the jets at the same time.

Hi Anthony, If you want to upgrade to 3 HP then you would require the 3 HP Super II Replacement Motor, you would also need to upgrade your Impeller to the 3 HP Hayward Super II Impeller and you would need a Hayward Super II Seal Kit. We also have a complete pump called the PureLine Prime 3 HP which would be about the same price as replacing these parts. A few things to consider when going up in HP... what is the flow rating of your filter? You want to make sure that your filter can handle the increased output of the larger pump. What is your plumbing size? You want to make sure that you have at least 2" plumbing and ideally 2.5" or even 3" plumbing, this larger plumbing does a better job with the higher flow of water.

I have a Hayward pump made by AO Smith with a number that I can not match on any Pump site. The pump is SP 3215Z1BER and Par 7-19633720. !.5 HP Total HP 2.4 powered by AO Smith.

Good morning Joe, Yes the Gokit2 is the correct replacement for you pump unless you have a salt pool then you would need the GOKIT2SALT. The only difference in the two is the shaft seals are different. The salt one is made out of stainless steel to hold up to to the high corrosion.

There could be but not necessarily always. If you have or are adding more features to your swimming pool and extra flow is needed then yes. For example, waterfalls, solar heating and deck jets. Or even if the pump was not properly sized per your pool needs upon being built then it possible that it would aid. But if not and the filter is not designed for extra water pressure/flow then it can actually do harm to the motor and or filter.

I bought a motor-UTS1102 to replace a bad one.Discovered the whole pump was bad so I purchased a whole motor/pump assembly Now the new motor had a terrible winding sound and was very loud so I switched the motors, What is the proper GoKit for Pump Pureline Pl2601? Hi, Thomas. The Prime Pump does not have a tune up kit, the seals will have to be purchased individually. The Pump Shaft Seal - PL2655, Diffuser Gasket - PL2653, Housing Gasket - PL2656 and or Lid Gasket - PL2649. Using a Motor Cover - R221016 can add some protection for the motor, however, keeping an eye on the pump for leaks and resolving the issue will prevent motor and equipment failures.

I have a hayward pump with century B-130 2.4 hp motor and the seal is leaking between the motor and pump. I can't see a model # anywhere.what seal do I need .Picture attached
This would be the correct seal kit for your model pump. Sometimes with this series, the bolt locations begin to pull away from the housing so if the seals do not resolve and there are no cracks in the housing then you may need to replace the housing or use tap set part number 5110-22.

Got a problem, Who doesn't, my pool pump is leaking just before the motor. I think its the seal . Do you have a replacement seal kit with "O" rings and gaskets like I would need if I were to replace the motor? Salt water pool.

Hi David, yes most commonly a seal kit will resolve the issue however sometimes there is damage or wear on the actual housing itself that may be causing the leak. If the leak persists in the same area once the kit is replaced then it is likely the pump housing. Also please keep in mind that for a saltwater swimming pool the seal kit for your Hayward Super II pool pump is the GOKIT2SALT.
