MULTIPORT Backwash Valves for D.E. and High-Rate Sand Filters - PLEASE NOTE: model #263034 has been replaced with model #263064. These 1 1/2 inch Side Mount MULTIPORT Valves, available in threaded or socket ports, are rated at 100 GPM to accommodate most installations. The 2 inch side-mount MPV is rated at 125 GPM. Top mount valves are available in 1 1/2 inch 8-position or 2 inch 6-position. All MULTIPORT valves are constructed of molded ABS material with heavy-duty plastic handles and are 100% factory tested. I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. does this push valve fit a Pentair 188592 QUAD 60 SWIMMING POOL FILTER D.E. / CART 120GPM ?

Hi Paul, The 2" Slide Valve for DE and Sand Filter (263034) can be used on the Pentair Quad 60 D.E. Filter (188592).

bought the Pentair quad 60 and the backwsh valve Pentair 263064 FNS Plus Quad D.E. Filter PVC Push Pull Valve; the directions said top - waste, middle ' from the pump' and bottom to the pool - disaster- plunger up as directed- water did not filter but went to waste and when we put the plunger down the filter reversed and blew out the D.E. and now the quad cartridges are full of green algae debris - give me a heads up on how to plumb the valve and how to clean the cartridges- pls.

Hi Paul, The DE application the Top Port is the return line and the waste port is the bottom.
