How do I know if I should replace this entire assembly dex4800dc?

If you have 2 or more damaged grids, and a cracked or discolored top manifiold then we highly recommend to replace the entire assembly. This is because after 2 or more parts begin to go bad then more will as well not to long after.

I am wondering if the listed DE4820 Filter Cluster is the entire filter assembly inclusive of top, bottom, etc or just the filter pieces.

Part number 4810-65A is the complete grid assembly. It includes the top manifold, bottom manifold, steel rod, and grids

My filter was putting earth back into my pool I talk to people that said you need a new filter. Si I went on line explained ehst was going on with my pool to inyopool they explained I might have a rip in the fingers in the filter so I order a new insert it fit like a glove now my pool is running GREAT.
