I recently changed my pool motor and gaskets. I made sure to lubricate all the gaskets with vaseline. A few days later water is leaking from the pump. What did I do wrong? Help please!!

You never want to use vaseline on any rubber gaskets or o-rings. Vaseline is petroleum based and will deteriorate the rubber quickly. Whenever you change the motor on a pool pump it is recommended that you replace the gaskets and shaft seal as well. A >Go-kit contains the shaft seal, packet of non-petroleum based lubricant and gaskets you will need for your pump. If you already have the gaskets, you can purchase >Magic Lube.

My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?

The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

My sta rite MPRA6E-147L pump started to make a louder noise then usual so I looked at it and found that it is leaking a little bit of water from the bottom of it. Could the leak be the cause of the noise?

Yes normally a leak can cause to seal failure which will cause the bearings to go bad in the motor. A sign of the bearings going bad is that the motor starts to run loud.

Evan, They do not have a tune-up kit for the supermax, but the most important seal would be the shaft seal, which is part# 5250-210 Pump Seal 200, Heavy Duty PS3867. All other o-rings would have to be purchased separately.

Hi Omer, Yes, this kit can be used with the MPRA6G-155L pump. The A100GLL motor has a 20 MFD 370 Volt Run Capacitor (RD-20-370) and a 36-43 MFD 220-250 Volt Start Capacitor (BC36M-250-S).

I purchased a USQ1102 replacement motor for a Sta Rite Dyna-Glas pump. Then I ordered the wrong tune up kit. I see now that the correct kit is Gokit47, but it does not appear to have the square gasket included. Which gasket should I order?

Hi Susan, The Sta-Rite Dyna Glas/Max pump does not have any square gaskets. It's possible that over time which happens the o-ring becomes flat causing it to appear square.

I would recommend using the GOKIT54 and if you have the copper cone insert in the seal plate then just remove it.

Our pump housing is leaking and the identifocation numbers look old and warped but we wrre able to make out these numbers on the housing:
