Can you just get the spider gasket for this Jacuzzi backwash valve?

On this valve the spider gasket is only sold glued into the diverter, so when the spider gasket goes bad you need to replace the entire diverter with the glued in spider gasket.

If you are leaking out of the drain port while on filter, the gasket on the key assembly (key #13) may be to blame. You can take a look at a breakdown of the valve here.

My valve is pouring water out of the backwash in filter mode, as well as leaking around filter handle at top. Do I need to replace the entire valve?

If the valve is leaking out of the valve, you will wan to inspect the spider gasket inside of the valve.

How is the key assembly orientated to the jacuzzi main body of the diverter valve? I thought I knew but on assembly the handle is not tight. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jerry - Our guide with video on How to Replace a Spider Gasket on a Multiport Valve should help out quite a bit with showing the orientation of the key assembly. The guide is showing a Hayward valve but the orientation would be the same for a Jacuzzi valve.

Hi Lynn, Yes, this is the correct part you will need to stop the valve from leaking. The Diverter Repair Kit Dv6/7 (39251509RKIT) is a beeter option than just replacing the Key Assembly with Gasket (39251509R000).

Hi, Jeff. Unfortunately, we're unable to confirm if the Carvin valve parts are interchangeable with the Jandy SFTM-MPV valve even though the parts looks to be similar. According to the info provided by Zodiac you will need the SFTM-MPV Rebuild Kit - R0492000.

We were about to install the diverter repair kit but ran into trouble with the screws as they were stripped and hard to remove. The last picture shows that a piece of the top and middle assembly had come off. My question is, what are the part numbers that I would need for the top and middle assembly? Thanks.
