How does the dual speed feature of this pump work?

Some dual speed pumps have a toggle switch in the back of the motor to change speeds manually, but many do not. Generally you would need to tie this dual speed pump into one of our dual speed pump timers/controllers. One of the more popular models is the Digital PE153 series. This timer has 3 functions: one to turn the pump on and off, a second auxiliary to switch from high speed to low speed, and then a third for any other piece of pool equipment. is this 2.5 hp 2 speed pump same measurement as my 1.5 hayward single speed pump. for connection to my platform

If you currently have a Hayward Super 2 pump model then yes the pump specifications will be the same. If you do not have a Hayward Super 2 model then you will need to contact us or the manufacturer to verify if the specs match up. Typically if your model isn't the same housing model then it likely will not match up.

Hi, Art. This pump is not available to be sold online, if you want this specific pump, you will have to reach out to your local Hayward Authorized Dealer. The Whisperflo 2.0 HP Dual Speed Full Rate Pump - WFDS-8 is an alternate option.
