How many hours per day should I run my pump?

A     Answered on 10/8/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

Pump stopped working

Written on 6/26/2017 by Guest

It was a simple "swap out" of the old pump for the new. Unplug/disconnect the old pump. Follow the line wires to where they are mounted on the pump and remove those screws and the incoming wires. Unscrew the four bolts mounting the pump to the housing and put the new pump in. Be sure to use the provided grease (vaseline will work as well) around the seal between the pump and the housing. Reconnect the electrical and you're done. The instructions will guide you.
