Will replacing part SPX3000T stop the leak around the housing and seal plate?

Replacing SPX3000T should stop the leak between the housing and seal plate. If not, you may have a cracked seal plate or housing.

I found a new gasket in my supplies, changed it out but it is now obvious the motor is leaking at the bottom where it joins the housing. Could this be the shaft seal? if so, what is my replacement part?

Capt. Gaelyn, That is correct, the Shaft Seal has failed and will need to be replaced. Your options are P/N SPX1600Z2 (OEM), PS-3868 (Heavy Duty), PS-201 (Standard Generic).

I removed difuser o ring. Re assembled and water leaking under side of housing. Noticed a flat rubber seal approx. 10" in diameter. Is the seal the problem or did I crank housing when I re assembled. Cheapest way is buy another seal.

Hi Ron, sometimes you may just need to clean that seal, and the general area, then lubricate it for it to seal again. If it doesn't seal then you may need to replace it.
