How can you tell is your impeller has gone bad?
The normal things that would cause an impeller to not work correctly would be wither its jammed with debris, the diffuser it works with is damaged, or the threads where the motor shaft screw in are bad.
On model SP3007x10 up rated, does impeller SPX3007C require an impeller ring for diffuser SPX3000BN? Thank you!
On a super 2 with a 1 hp motor can I use a spx 3010 Impeller, instead of a spx 3007c ???
If not, why not??
Hi, Robert. If you're using a 1.0 HP up rated motor, you cannot use the SPX3010C impeller. That is because the load that it will be placed on the 1.0 HP up rated motor since it is larger. That is not the case if you're using a 1.0 HP full rated motor.
Does this part have a spring-loaded gasket or have you changed from the spring loaded gasket to the brass.
The impeller does not come with a spring loaded gasket. The part you are referring to is called the pump/shaft seal. It is a 2 part seal that protects the motor from water damage. It is recommended that you change the pump/shaft seal every time you change the motor. You can identify the correct seal you will need by matching the pump make and model and the corresponding parts list.
(5 out of 5 stars) Awesome improvement

Pros: Great replacement
As compared to the original plastic impeller, the replacement is far better and has a brass shaft. The replacement plastic impeller is molded onto the brass impeller ahaft. My precious impeller was completely plastic and was the original impeller in my Hayward SuperII. The previous plastic shaft broke off, rendering my pump useless.
(5 out of 5 stars) Better impeller than original

Pros: metal shaft
My original impeller's shaft broke leaving plastic wrapped around the motor shaft's thread. This replacement has a metal shaft which hopefully will last longer.
