I have a sta-rite max-e-pro part # p6e6D-205L. It is leaking at the bottom around where the o-ring would be. Does replacing the o-ring usually fix the leak, and is this the right o-ring for my pump?

Hi, Yes, replacing the o-ring will stop the leak if that's what causing it nd this is the correct o-ring.

I have a pump AO Smith SQ1202 and need to get an O ring. Will Part #5056-06 O Ring fit this pump? Thanks in advance, Ruihong

Hi, Ruihong. You will need to provide us with the model of the pump housing, not the motor number in order for us to locate the correct o-rings. If you're unable to locate the model number of the pump you can send photos of the pump to upload@inyopools.com.

Hello, I purchased a motor from you and installed into the Max-E-Pro housing, installed the O-Ring U9-228A, but the housing slowly loses water/pressure after I shut it off. Any idea of what the problem could be? I'm quite sure the basket gasket is fine too.

There are a number of reasons as to why a pump may loose or have difficulty priming. Please review the results when you click here to see if that may assist in troubleshooting. If they do not then you may want to have a technician come to physically inspect your system.

Is there always an o-ring between the seal plate before you put the clamp back on. I didnt see one but now that i have re-installed the ring it leakes. Im afraid to tighten the metal ring any tighter

Yes, more than likely there is an o-ring at the seal plate. It will just depend on which model pump housing that you have in order to cross reference which o-ring or seal is there. You can call in with that part number or if you cannot locate that housing model then you can email images through our support request page. Also sometimes you may just need to lube that seal.

The existing o-ring was worn and stretched making it difficult to seal the filter cartridge after cleaning

Written on 7/19/2021 by Guest

Simply opened the filter housing.
Removed the old o-ring which removed easily since it was stretched out.
Applied silicone grease and slipped the new o-ring on the filter housing.
Simple and quick.
