This model pump does not have a separate Tune-up Kit for salt water pools. You would need to purchase the gaskets and o-rings individually and include the Pump Seal 200, Heavy Duty PS3867 (Saltwater Pools) - PS-3867.

The bearings for the motor and the tune up kit that has the orings and gaskets are two different things. If you need help finding the correct bearings for you please provide the part number off your motor.

Yes this is the correct seal kit for your Pentair Super Flo Pump SF-N1-1A 340038. Bearings are not included, if you do need bearings then your motor requires 2 of this 203 Pool Motor Bearing.

Ticket # 264298 My impeller screws directly onto shaft. There is no brass threaded piece protruding from the bottom. Therefore the shaft seal spring part is not snug on shaft and seal part is too wide to fit in bottom of impeller.

Hi, Andrew. Please reconfirm the pump model or upload a picture of the pump body so that we can confirm which kit you'll need for your pump. The partial pump model number provided will use the Tune Up Kit Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro (Pre February 2015) - GOKIT79 not this Tune Up Kit Pentair SuperFlo/Sta-Rite SuperMax - GOKIT78.

My questions: 1. is this Tune Up Kit correct for my pump? 2. Do you have the front and rear bearings for this Pentair Pump as I want to replace the bearings? 3. Is the shaft seal in the kit the same as the heavy duty shaft seal (Pump Shaft Seal Heavy Duty (Saltwater Pools) - PS-3867)?

Hi, Richard. This is the correct tune up kit for your model pump. As for the bearings, we do not have the correct bearings because it's an OEM motor. The shaft seal in the kit is just a standard seal, not heavy duty.

THE SEAL BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND IMPELLER HOUSING IS LEAKING. WHEN I PULL IT APART TO REPLACE THE O-RING , WILL I NEED OTHER SEALS THAT MAY GET DAMAGE DURING THIS REPAIR. THIS WAY I WILL HAVE TO ORDER THE KIT INSTEAD OF JUST THE ORING THAT I WILL NEED.????

Hi Kelly, We would suggest the kit as many times when you take the pump apart old o-rings that were not previously leaking start to leak when you try to re-install them.

What are all the parts in the kit. I need to get the parts for use with a saltwater pool. You have already provided the part number for the saltwater heavy duty seal but what are the remaining parts I need to purchase separately?

Hi Kyle, After going through all of the parts it would be less expensive to purchase 1 GOKIT78 and 1 Heavy Duty Shaft Seal This would give you an extra standard shaft seal but it is always good to have a backup shaft seal on hand. The standard seal can be used on a salt pool however the heavy duty seal will last much longer on a salt pool.

I have pump SF-N1-1-1/2A/340039 running waterfall on salt pool. Is this correct kit. I am replacing motor with PL2854 as mine is getting hot and thermally shutting down in about 20 minutes

I have a Pentair Super Flo (1hp) and need to put on a new motor as the current one has started making a loud whining noise. I believe the new motor should be A.O. Smith 1 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2853. If that is correct, Which "tune-up kit" do I need to order with it?
As a separate issue can I mount a 1.5 hp motor (and would it be wise) on the current pump housing and if so would it provide more suction at my skimmer and drain? If so, which motor and tune up kit would be best?

Hi, KP. This tune up kit is the correct one for your pump. If you want to increase the pump HP to 1.5 you will need the matching motor, impeller and this kit.

my pentair superflo pump will not prime up, it ran dry for a period of several hrs. The pump is only 1 yr. old, does it need to be rebuilt because it ran dry and got hot?

Hi Francis, the seal kit for your Pentair Whisperflo series pool pump in a chlorine swimming pool is the GOKIT32 and for a saltwater swimming pool it is the GOKIT32SALT.

The loud sound is likely caused by bad bearings. You can try replacing the motor bearings but it is not the easiest task. We'd recommend replacing the motor. The seal kit, GOKIT78, would not help with the noise but it would help protect new bearings/motor.

What the the individual p/n's of the parts in kit called GOKIT78? I am installing and new motor and want to make sure all of the necessary o-rings are included. The pump previously had a small weeping leak at pump housing close to motor and need to confirm this O-ring is part of the kit? If not, I will order separately.

Hello Joe. Attached please find the Waterway SVL56 High-Flow Pump exploded parts diagram for reference. The Diffuser O-ring, Pump Shaft Seal 5/8" - PS-1000, and Gasket, Housing are the seals and gaskets necessary to complete the motor replacement.
