I have the ecostar sp3400. It make a horrible whine when running. I am guess the motor needs to be replaced? If so, if I order a new motor does it come with everything or do I need to order all new gaskets etc...

Similar question to others. Pump is really loud and I assume I need bearings.
1. Do I need a special tool to pull the bearings? If so do you offer such tool?
2. Other than the bearings, what else do you recommend I change at the same time? (ie seals)

Good morning Juan, Yes you are correct on the bearings. Unfortunately, We do not sell the bearing puller or the pipe you will need to replace. We do sell the bearings they will be #6203

Will this pump work on a 3200? I got the pump because it runs either 110v or 220v. I only have 110 at my pool. The 3400 onlu runs on 220v from what i have read. Is this true? Thanks

Hi Mike this motor can only be wired 230V and not 110V if you wanted to go 110V then I'm not aware of a replacement 110V variable speed motor. You would need a complete variable speed pump like the Pentair 110V SuperFlo Variable Speed Pump.

I also need a new motor fan since mine came apart. It's installed with just a simple snap ring. I'm very disappointed that I have to buy a brand new motor assembly when all I need is this plastic fan. Please offer another solution.

Hi Gregory, the correct variable speed replacement motor for the motor included in your photo is the ECM27SQU. You will also need a Pentair Whisperflo seal kit when you replace your motor. I (unfortunately) have an SP3400VSP (photos attached) with the replacement digital controller, and now the magnets in the motor have shattered.
Is this the correct replacement motor, and is there a recommended seal kit or additional required parts to replace the motor on this pump? Or an alternative replacement pump with the same plumbing layout?

Hi Victoria, the correct variable speed replacement motor for the motor included in your photo is this motor without the drive or you can use the ECM27SQU with controls. Hello. The only compatible motor for the Hayward EcoStar Pump SP3400VSP Motor Drive SPX3400DR (or SPX3400DRVR) is the Motor Assembly SPX3400Z1ECM.

Hello John. According to Hayward, the motor SPX3400Z1ECM is compatible with the Hayward TriStar Model SP3200VSP if the year of manufacture is before January 2019. If the manufacture date is after January 2019 the Motor and Drive Assembly SPX3206Z1ECM is the replacement assembly. The Hayward part SPX3202Z1VSPE is the compatible Power End Assembly. Hello Jeff. The Hayward TriStar, EcoStar Pool Pump Seal Kit - Model GOKIT81 contains the shaft seal, o-rings, and gaskets necessary to complete the new motor installation. Attached please find the Hayward EcoStar Pump SP3400VSP Series exploded parts diagram for reference.
