Does the Pentair 1.5 hp motor require additional seals or is it installation ready? Do you offer gasket or o-ring kit for the Pentair Whisperflo system?

Hello Mike - The motor does not come with any pump gaskets or o-rings. The gasket/o-ring kit for standard chlorine pools is part number GOKIT32. The kit for saltwater pools is GOKIT32SALT.

hi can you confirm the bolt pattern. Mine is a six bolt two at the top that screw directly into the strainer side, two in the middle that screw thru to the strainer side but into separate bolts and two at the bottom that attach the same as the top two. Looking at your picture it does not appear it has middle screws?

Hello Del - The motor connects to the plate with four bolts. Once the motor is connected to the plate, the plate is connected to the housing with six bolts. The Whisperflo Part Schematic will illustrate this.

I have a 15 year old WisperFlo WFDS-6 which is starting to make a bit of noise. Can I change out to this motor? Will I save on electricity usage by doing so? Will the EE last as long?

Hello Darren - The 071315S motor would be the correct single speed motor replacement. You currently have a dual speed motor. The dual speed motor would last longer and be more energy efficient. The dual speed motor is model B2983.

i have a pump wfe-6/011514, 208-230 vl,,,,,and i have it on a 20 amp circuit ,,i need to add another pump and will like to know the watts that this pump suses when operating to see if i can put the other pump on the same power circuit or if i need to add anoder dedicated circuit..i want to have the 2 pumps operating at the same time on the same pipe line to pump water to my roof 19 feet up to my sunheater ,,would you guys recomend to do this???

Hi, The WhisperFlo EE 1.5 HP Motor Full Rate (Almond) when wired for 230 volts uses about 8.8 amps. Instead of using 2 pumps you may want to look into the IntelliFlo Variable Speed Pump.

Hi Dwayne, You would need the UQS1152R WFDS26 1-1/2 HP Dual Speed Replacement Motor and this Whisperflo Tune Up Kit. Please note that the UQS1152R does not come with a toggle switch, if you do need a toggle switch then I would suggest this Whisperflo Dual Speed Motor with Digital Controller

I have the Pentair WFE-4. The motor sounds like it is going bad. I believe I need a bigger pump for my pool size. Could I replace with the 1.5HP without a big overhaul?

You will need to change the impeller to the Impeller, 1 1/2 Hp Full 2 Hp Up. (073129) if you upgrade to the higher 1.5 EE Full Rate Motor. We will also recommend you replace the seals with the Tune Up Kit Pentair/Purex Whisperflo.

Hi Marc, If you don't mind a black motor instead of an Almond motor then the B858 Motor would be a better match and it is less expensive. You would need the WhisperFlo Tune Up Kit - GoKit32Salt and that should be all you need. What is the salt water kit and what does it protect that the standard motor does not? I have (2) Whisperflo 1.5 H.P. pumps with this motor, (same specs) and I have a saltwater pool. One pump runs the pool and one pump runs the waterfall. Every place I talk to, (at the shops in my area), tell me there is no difference in a pump motor for a saltwater pool vs standard (non-salt) pool. I need to replace one of the motors. Does this motor require a salt water kit? Thanks for the help

Hello, when it comes to installing a new motor in a saltwater pool I would highly recommend getting the saltwater tune-up kit if you have a saltwater pool. This is because the minerals in the salt water tend to degrade the o-rings and shaft seals quicker. The tune-up kit aimed at saltwater pools helps to slow this degradation.

I have 2 questions I wave a WDFS-6/011522 that has gone kaput. First, can I use a single speed 1.5 HP replacement motor and leave the balance of the pump in place (impeller, etc.). If so, which motor? If not, what is the correct dual speed motor? I guess that's questions. Thanks,

Hi Carson, the direct single speed replacement at the best value that we carry for your motor model 355012S is the B842. It is also recommended to replace the seals when replacing a motor. In order to locate those, we will need the front pump wet end housing model name or number that the motor attaches to. You can also reply to this with images of the housing if you need.
