I am trying to find a replacement motor for a century A.O. Smith 1.5 hp motor I saw that you have one that I think will work catalogue number B 2858 but would like to talk with you to see for sure if this will work.
Hello Lee. The Century Motors 1.5HP Full Rate Motor model B2858 is a compatible replacement. The Century Motors 1.5HP Full Rate Motor model B849 is the direct replacement. There are no significant differences between the two motors. The B849 is 230V only and is i inch shorter in length. Functionally they are identical. Hello. The Century Motors 1.5 HP Full Rate motor model B2858 is a single-speed motor. The Century Motors 1.5 HP Full Rate motor model B2983 is a dual-speed motor.

HI I have a 1.5 Jandy Stealth Model # SHPF1.5, Serial T11FF2773. When I did a search for a replacement motor, several motors popped up but none of the pumps specifically state that they replace the Make or model # of my pump. Could you please let me know what motor I need. Thank you in advance.

Hello John. The Jandy Stealth model SHPF 1.5 is a Full Rate Pump. Translation - the motor has a Service Factor greater than 1.3. Horsepower (HP) X Service Factor (SF) = Total Horsepower (THP). The Jandy Stealth model SHPM 1.5 is a Max Rate Pump. Translation - the motor has a Service Factor of less than 1.3. The Century 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Full Rate Motor - B849 is a compatible replacement motor for your Jandy Stealth SHPF 1.5. The Shaft Seal and Backplate O-Ring should be replaced concurrent with the new motor.

The Century 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2854 (SF HP 1.65) is the motor replacement for the Century Motor model 196250 installed on the Pentair Challenger Pump model CHII N1 1.5A. The Pentair Challenger Pump Tune Up Kit (CHII Series) - GOKIT5 contains the necessary shaft seal, gaskets, and o-ring to complete the new motor installation.
