One measurement on your description says 1.25". Looking at the picture the hole is 5/8" so what is the 1.25"? This looks like my seal but nothing on my 5/8" seal measures 1.75". Looking at the proportions on the picture nothing looks 1.75"

The 1.25" measurement refers to the outside diameter of the shaft seal.

Hi Mickey, You would require the shaft seal on this page for the Optiflo pump. For the o-rings you would need a quantity of two of the 357 O-ring and a quantity of one of the 223 O-ring.

My pump was leaking from the seal

Written on 6/16/2020 by Guest

I disconnect my pool pump. Next I disassembled I the pump revealing the impeller. Next I removed the impeller exposing the shaft seal. After removing the shaft seal I installed the new replacement seal and the reassembled the pump. Finally I reconnected the pump to the pool and ran it. No leaks!

Installed new motor and decided to replace this relatively inexpensive part since I was investing in new motor and the time to install it.

I use a 5/8 socket to push/tap the old seal out of pump. I also apply thin coat of seal lubricant on rubber collar before inserting/seating it in pump. Keeps rubber from binding.

Leaky pump seal

Remove and discard used impeller. Remove and replace wet end housing seal. Remove rust from motor shaft using emery cloth and grease lightly. Install wet end housing careful not to touch ceramic surfaces. Screw impeller not to tight as motor spin direction will keep it tight. Reassemble pump using new o rings and Teflon lube such as Aladdin magic lube

Noisy hot tub jet pump

Written on 2/13/2017 by Guest

I wanted to have a set of bearings and a seal on hand for replacement during my next regular service of the hot tub.
Being over 25 years old, I had some difficulty verifying the necessary parts, and got excellent guidance online from INYO pools. Ordered parts which arrived in days and the following weekend, drained the tub for cleaning and a water change.
I wrestled the pump out and disassembled and cleaned the motor. Replaced the bearings and put in a fresh seal as always.
Very pleased to have the correct parts on hand for the job, and it went as smoothly as one could hope.
Thank you INYO pools, I will be back next time I need anything and will suggest you to anyone who needs pool and spa parts and supplies.
