The cleaning of the grids can be done by Removing and Cleaning the DE Grids or by Backwashing your DE Grids.

Hi, I have an older American Titan SS filter Model # 584090. It is 48 sqft. area and 96 GPM. It is 22 inches in length and height and 52 inches wide. I would like to replace the interior grid assembly. Would the one I see mentioned for the filter above (59023400) fit my needs or would I have to buy a new filter (Pentair). Is there a replacement grid? Thanks

Hi Len, The DE Grid Assembly on this page is not the correct item for the American Titan SS filter. You would need the DE Grid Assembly for the American Titan SS filter 48 Sq. Ft. here.

My bleeder tube screen keeps deteriorating and blowing a hole. I have replaced with stainless mesh and brass. If I get a new assembly, what should I do on the bleeder screen/tube.

Hi Johnny, The American Products Titan Stainless Steel D.E. 48 Sq.Ft. Grid Assy (59002500) would be the correct grid assembly and the Stand Pipes are no longer available for this model filter.

Hello Raymond, The Pentair FNS Plus DE filter system you have is the 36sqft version with grids measuring 18" in height. If you are looking to replace the entire grid assembly, you will need the Grid Assy., 36 Sq.ft. Filter Part # 59023500.

I have a Amer. Products model 57025000 filter Tank with a Titan 48 sq. ft. Vertical DE assembly inside of it. The plastic portion of the assembly at the top cracked open and DE is coming back into the pool.
Is Part # 59023400 a valid assembly replacement and do I also need to replace the rubber ring (between the lower and upper tank halves)?

Hi Robert, I'm showing the American Products model 57025000 filter Tank is used on the Titan CM DE Filter and this filter requires the Titan CM DE 48 Sq. Ft. DE Grid Assembly. It would be a good idea to replace your Titan CM Tank O-Ring when you replace your grids.

Hi. Pentair acquired Pac-Fab so the Pentair Nautilus FNS D.E. part will fit the FRP. To determine which size filter you have you'll need to measure the height of the grids. A 12" = 24, 18" = 36, 24" = 48, and 30" = 60 sq. ft.

This grid assembly actually works with the model FNS Plus 48. I would suggest double-checking your filter label for the specific model number. I did try to use the manifold part number that seemed to be shown in one of your pictures but had no concrete result. You may have Pac Fab Nautilus which you can view by clicking here.

One more check to make sure this is the correct replacement grid. I think this piece slips onto the bulkhead. Do I also need to buy the o-ring?
Yes, this is the correct grid assembly for the model Pentair 180008 filter. It is recommended to also replace the tank o ring and standpipe o-ring which you view on keys 15 and 27 that you can view by clicking here and viewing the Pentair FNS Plus D.E. Filter parts diagram.

No, this is not compatible with your Hayward DE filter, these parts only fit the American Products Titan RPM DE or the Pentair FNS Plus. You can find your filter's parts diagram and list on the Hayward Filter Parts page
