Hi, Your pump is actually a 1 HP Full Rate Pump which is equivalent to a 1.5 HP uprate motor so you would need the PL2854 1.5 HP Up Rate Replacement Motor We do show where you purchased the 1 HP up rate motor would you like for us to bill your credit card the difference and ship out the 1.5 HP Up Rate Motor, also we would suggest this Super Flo Tune Up Kit when replacing your motor. Finally here is a Video on How to Replace a Pool Motor which you may find helpful when tackling this project. We will put your order on hold until we hear back from you on how you would like to proceed.

Please view our How To Understand True Pump Horsepower - Up Rated vs Full Rated guide. Please do not forget the Tune Up Kit Pentair/Purex Whisperflo Saltwater - GOKIT32SALT or the shaft seal when replacing the motor. Hi, Thomas. You will need to test the capacitor using our How to Test a Pool Pump Capacitor. If the capacitor fails, then it will need to be replaced. If it's okay, then you can check the windings using our How To Use a Multimeter to Test a Pool Pump Motor - Winding Resistance. Your options for replacing the motor is this PL2853 (standard), B2853 (standard) or B2661 (energy efficient). You will also need the Super Flo Tune Up Kit - GOKIT78

You will actually need the PL2854 1.5 HP Up Rated Replacement Motor as you current motor is a 1 HP Full Rated Motor which is equivalent to a 1.5 HP Up Rated motor. To explain this it easiest to show the math which I will do so here 1 HP Full Rate x 1.65 Service Factor = 1.65 True HP. 1.5 HP Up Rate x 1.15 Service Factor = True HP of 1.65

Here is a Video on How to Replace a Pool Motor which should be helpful when you tackle this project. Hi Chris, Since your current motor is a Full Rated 3/4 HP which has the same True HP as a 1 HP Uprated motor, this would mean you need to upgrade to a 1.5 HP Up-Rated Motor to see an increase in power for your pump. This would mean you would require the PL2854 1.5 HP Up Rated Replacement Motor and this 1.5 HP Up Rated / 1 HP Full Rated Whisper Flo Impeller and this Whisperflo Seal Kit. This would be all you need to upgrade the HP. We put together this Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which you may find helpful when you tackle this project.

Yes, we recommend using a seal kit and in order to confirm the correct one we would need the model name or number of the pump housing that the motor is attached to. If you are not sure of this you can email images of that to upload@inyopools.com so we can confirm and further advise.

You will not need a bearing with this motor but we do recommend replacing the seals and gaskets but we would need to know the model name or number of the front pump housing that the motor attaches to. If you are not sure of that you can email images of that to upload@inyopools.com so we can further advise.

A  Answered on 9/19/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

So that will really vary on maintenance, however, I would say on the average of about 15-20 years. If the housing isn't warped from heat, cracked or leaking then they can last a very long time.

So if you type in your motor model, part or catalog number in our search for an item part on the top of our web site your motor options should come up as results. You can then select your motor and confirm that your model, part or catalog number is listed in the products alternate part number list in the product details.

Jerry, in order to suggest a replacement motor we will need more information on the existing motor. What is the model, part, or CAT number of the existing motor? If you are unable to locate this information, please send me a photo of the large white motor label on the side or top of the motor to upload@inyopools.com.

Hi Ramon, The variable speed replacement motor for your motor part number F56AA37A01 is the ECM16SQU. When replacing a pool motor we do suggest a Seal Kit. Could you send us a few photos of your pump so we can suggest the proper seal kit? If so then please take a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos. Once we get those photos we can make the proper recommendation for your seal kit.
