The replacement motor is model B661. We also recommend replacing the seal kit. That would be gokit32 for a chlorine pool and gokit32salt for a salt pool.

Yes the 075234S is the correct motor replacement for your Pentair Part # 177475 (Color: Almond.) Make sure you pick up the correct shaft seal to complete the motor replacement.

I have a whisperflo WF-28 011774 almond with a 2 HP motor. It's over designed for my 10,000 gal pool. I want to take the opportunity that the motor burnt and bring down to 1HP motor. is it a direct replacement?

He Leonardo, For your WF-28 you would actually need the 1 HP Replacement Motor you will also need to replace your 2 HP Impeller with this 1 HP Impeller otherwise you will burn up the 1 HP motor very quickly, finally you will also need a Pentair 1 HP Tune Up Kit. I have a Pentair WhisperFlo WFE-8 (almond) with a motor that is AO Smith Century Centurions 2hp, 1.30 SF, part 7-177452-03, type CX, ph 1, volts 208-230, hz 60, rpm 3450. It is for my in-ground spa jets. I need to replace motor and would like to get the original model by pentair again (don't think this AO Smith is original). Can you tell me two options: (1) the original pentair motor to buy, (2) the exact replacement for this AO Smith current motor that is on the pump as shown above? Thanks.

Hi Jay, here is the exact WFE-8 Replacement Motor from Pentair for your pump, please note this is a 2.5 HP Up Rate Motor which is identical to your 2 HP Full Rate motor. A.O. Smith does make the motors for Pentair so here is 2 HP Full Rate B2843 AO Smith Replacement Motor which is the exact same as the Pentair motor with the exception of the color, the Pentair is Almond and the aftermarket AO Smith motor is black.

i have a Pinnacle 1 1/2hp , 230/115, 40 AMP, 3450 RPM, continuous pool pump, part 7-177475-20. Serial #0309225070047M. P/N 342352(discontinued). The bearings are going. When i look at replacement motors, i am using the information located directly on the pump, i am given a replacement motor of only 1hp. It is a Pentair and looks the same as what i have, but i need 1.5hp. Why am i not getting matches for a 1.5hp ?

Hi Bobbye, You can use this 1 HP Full Rate OEM Motor (075234S) which has a total hp of 1.65 because of the service factor which is 1.65 or the B854 which is an UP Rate motor which also has a total hp of 1.65 but has a service factor of 1.10. The OEM 1.5 HP motor is p/n 355024S. Whichever motor you decide to go with I will also recommend getting the Pentair/Pac-Fab Pinnacle Tune Up Kit (GOKIT24).

Hi, Mike. You can use Part # 355018S (OEM) or B2846 (Aftermarket) as a replacement motor for your WF-2 Pump. You will also need to get the Whisperflo Tune Up Kit - GOKIT32 or GOKIT32SALT.

Hello - the replacement motor for your WFE-2 WhisperFlo is the B2845 - 1/2 HP Square Flange 56Y Full Rate EE Motor. The gasket kit needed to complete the installation is either the GOKIT32 or the GOKIT32SALT.

You will need this Pentair Whisperflo Seal Kit Since you live in California you will require a Variable Speed Replacement motor and your pump will require this 1.65 HP Variable Speed Pool Motor I would also suggest this 1.5 HP Whisperflo Impeller so you can take advantage of the high-end range of the 1.65 HP motor.

How do you check the motor shaft and impeller to see if they are seized or frozen

You can remove the motor from the pump housing and you should be able to spin the impeller by hand. If you cannot then the current motor is frozen.

I appreciate your quick response my next question is the new variable speed motor you are suggesting, if you look at the picture with the top view (capacitor) on top notice how close the motor is to the main pump system will that be a problem
Richard, That is going to be a tight fit. It is really hard to say from photos if the filter will impede with the VSP Controller. If it does then you will have to do a little re-plumbing.

You will require this motor here B2853 Century Pool Motor when replacing your motor you will need a seal kit. Hi Paul, your single speed replacement motor is the model B842. The seal kit for your Pentair Whisperflo in a chlorine swimming pool is the GOKIT32 and for a saltwater pool, it is the GOKIT32SALT.

The 355020S is a 1 horsepower uprated motor, whereas the 355022S is a 1 HP full-rated. The horsepowers for the motors is 1.25 and 1.65, respectively. To calculate your motor's total horsepower, multiply the horsepower (HP) and service factor (SF) listed on the motor label.
